Hardly. It would mean you probably would have played 5-7 straight away games…and as i hope you’d know, that a plane trip each time. Non Vic clubs deserve their exclusive home ground adv due to their exclusive away disadvantage. Again you play 7 straight at home… then chances are your on a plane 7 straight games also, imagine the moaning from Perth on that?

Tigers, Pies and Cats to hog the limelight as AFL unveils 2020 fixture

Haha funny bud, as you seem to be the one who cant accept the AFLs fixture, 20+ year old grounds policy, and all its anomalies.

What part of swings and roundabouts don’t you get?

But for what’s its worth, keep up the entertaining giggle, its at least better than what’s on tv.

Yep unparalleled, seriously…?
Where else do you suggest AFL play the home Coll and Melb vs RFC games that were fixtured in last 7 rds? Do we need to reiterate 23 rd season, 18 clubs, fixture quirks everwhere, and not going to change anytime soon. RFC 5 home games in first 16 rds (unparalleled disadvantage, almost write the season off?), then 5 home of last 7 rds. Disadv/Adv.
Add in ground rationalisation that has been around for a long time, better get used to it. It’s swings and roundabouts, good draw one year, not good the next, bad first half draw, good second half draw.
Compare that to the elite O/S codes and see if you get anything remotely similar.
Best fans start dealing with it. And dealing with the fact Richmond have been the best team of last 3 years…seems real hard to swallow for most.

People need to get their heads around what the impacts are of ground rationalisation, gee its only been in effect for 20+ years?!? And this was never an issue when tigers held up the ladder from the bottom.
RFC played just 5 of first 16 rds as MCG home games in ’19, do we think this is perhaps a disadvantage?!? Yes. It’s swings and rounabouts. From rd 17 RFC played 5 more MCG home games = 10 MCG home games for the year (+1 Docklands).
Yes RFC play away fixtures at G against co tenants and can also see an away fixture vs big drawing club like Essendon. But they also play home game fixtures vs co tenants. Ground rationalisation means you lose 50% home ground adv in home fixtures vs co tenants, but you gain a 50% chance of winning the away co tenant fixture (2 horse race). Which would you prefer…. banking 11 wins at your 100% exclusive home ground you train on and share with no clubs, or banking the 6-7 wins with those 100% exclusive home games at MCG (vs non co tenants), and having a 50% chance of winning the other 6-7 mix of home and away games you play at the same venue?
I am taking my 11 wins banked thanks, every day of week, that almost guarantees finals each year.
