Did anyone watch an EPL game live this weekend?
No epl for me on Optus as yet this season . Although I’ve used the app and it’s good enough.
Also Optus mobile service is not an option for myself or many people more then 40 km from the city .
I like the championship in general on Foxtel , although i missed the game on Saturday night because of the wallabies… how good was that btw .
The clubs in the championship still seem to produce much better crowd atmosphere and there’s a bit less predictably about the results. If you ever get a chance go to St. Andrews in Birmingham or similar, beats the epl prawn sandwich atmosphere.
Seeing smallish clubs like Norwich city and Sheffield United last year do so well and gain promotion at the expense of fallen giants like Leeds United and derby County, notts forest etc made it even sweeter .

Those extra games can really hurt a club without a massive squad .
After Liverpool and city , there is a massive drop off and united chrlsea Everton spurs Leicester wolves and probably a surprise team will all take points off at each other .
Gotta admit the race for fourth doesn’t mean a lot to me , but I’m a dinosaur that thinks the champions league would be so much better , with less teams and no group stages .

Conversely this may be the actual high point of the jets season . Maybe a cup quarter or semi final at home in front of a heaving newy crowd is a possibility.

I think the people that want Robbie Fowler to fail are miserable this week .
I don’t support Brisbane roar, but I like the fact that a legend of one of the best clubs in the world is prepared to have a crack at coaching in Australia. I only hope Brisbane can be as watchable as Fowler was in his heyday .
The fixtures don’t suit my team early on , but that’s not a major problem.
I just hope the jets can fill some gaps in the playing list very soon .

The outage is ridiculous. ( I’ve been guilty over the years)). It’s a sport . It’s a niche entertainment sport that we love and hate at the same time
But it’s the real things and our associations with people that are the things that deserve some passion and change. The demographics of where I live and struggle of the people I look after when I can actually get work are the best life experiences.
Watching a length of the field meninga try with a mate is a great memory, great times with teammates on the field are fondly looked back on ,
but I’m with Steve on this ., I don’t think it matters anymore who wins . Less outrage about football and more perspective of society is a better balance.
