I think if voges is picked for the bangladesh he should be v/c until warner returns.. He finished the ashes stronger than he started and still has a decent test average of 46 which includes1 100 and 2 50 in 10 innings.

I don’t think it would be a wise decision to appoint a younger player like m marsh the v/c tag as he is at the stage where he needs to concentrate on his own form with the bat and maintaining his improvement with the ball.

Nathan lyon is the only other option and i don’t think he would do a bad job but i think voges has better credentials.

I don’t think George Bailey is the answer either as i believe bangladesh are a real chance of beating us and while he is a good one day batsman, his f/c average points to him being a little behind other prospective players. In saying this i would rather him than s marsh.

Australia's leadership depth to be tested

Totally agree. The passion and desire have to be there for any player looking to try their hand. Izzys example is a great one. Afl is completely different than nrl because it relies on being able to kick and run all day. He is an elite athlete but wasn’t suited to afl and didn’t have the passion for it.

Jarryd Hayne's success is bad news for the NRL

I think you’re clutching at straws comparing the underarm incident which happened over 30 years ago and which to this day the majority of aussies are embarrassed about to the current incident. I could bring up numerous examples of the english not playing in the spirit of the game (bodyline, ball tampering etc) but to do so would have no valid point to this discussion.
The facts are the ball was more than likely going to hit the stumps and catch stokes out of his crease until he stuck his hand out and prevented this. Whether it was deliberate or a reaction only stokes would know. Either way its out. Starc threw the ball at the stumps not stokes. Stokes has terrific reflexes and reaction time (his wonderful catches in the ashes prove this) so for him to protect the stumps with his hand and not his body prove that it wasnt self preservation. His hand wasnt even close to his body.
One would think if stokes felt that disappointed by the decision he would have said something by now(he may of but i cant find anything on it.) This tells me he knew he was out.

Steve Smith has nothing to apologise for
