Mead didn’t answer or even try to reply the questions that were given to him by Penny. He just kept coming back with terrible questions.
As a professional reporter, he should know how to ask questions properly, not like asking them as a couple of school boys in an argument.
TVNZ have been making staff redundant lately and they should have got rid of this reporter weeks ago.
He’s not even a dedicated sports reporter hence why he didn’t know how to answer Penny’s answers.

'He's a disgrace': Coach drops c-bomb at journo after prickly press conference, leaving CEO to clean up his mess

I’m from Christchurch and think he should stay.
The Crusaders have alot of young players, have alot of experienced players (AB’s aswell) out from injuries . So it’s hardly fair to be blaming him. Plus some of the players need to have a look at themselves.
That reporter also needs to pull his head in. The way he was reporting was terrible and was more like a school boy argument.
He should also publicly apologize to Penny.
Kicking someone while they are down and on national TV is a disgrace.
He’s not a reporter, just a jerk looking for a reaction.
Maybe next time he should try it on in a pub and see what response he gets.

I was also surprised that the match Dr didn’t ordered Rapana off for a HIA. If he passes, then great. But it’s so inconsistent and confusing when the opposition player is clearly hurt, but isnt taken off the field
He was hurt and even I could see that on the tv replay.
Also, sometimes the length of time that is taken to get the Dr’s decision to stop play for a HIA can be minutes after a original head clash. Most of the time the player that has had the head clash is involved in more tackles etc

NRL consistently inconsistent when it comes to punishments for head-high contact

It’s not only players but also staff without contracts beyond 2025.
You can’t tell me that there won’t be agents starting to look at other options as a contingency plan for their players who are currently contracted to Rebels.

Rebels told they will play Super Rugby in 2024 but future on shaky ground as voluntary administration looms

I’m talking about the Rebels, not the other SR teams.

Rebels told they will play Super Rugby in 2024 but future on shaky ground as voluntary administration looms

I read that no staff and players are contracted beyond 2025. As a professional you’d have to be asking your agent if it’s good idea to be staying or looking for another club.

It’s alot of money when you don’t have any.

Rebels told they will play Super Rugby in 2024 but future on shaky ground as voluntary administration looms

Rebels should have been cut loose years ago and kept the Force.
Another dumb decision from RA, that has bitten them in the ass again.

And I’m pretty sure Eddie Jones lived on another planet. haha, great comment 😂

COMMENT: In trading Greatest Showman for 'boring' and 'pragmatic' Sleepy Joe, RA gambling with game's future

It will interesting see how the Cherry Blossoms rankings go over the next few years.
Joseph and Brown has had them firing.

Eddie Jones set to be appointed Japan coach six weeks after walking out on Wallabies

What about the motorbike and MTB helmets that have MIPS etc.
Yes they don’t fully protect the head, they designed to help absorb the shock from the impact and limit the brain being jolted around.
I have an ABI, so am well aware about brain injuries and concussion.

'Can of worms': Rugby Australia introduce radical tackle law reform to protect players

It helped me when I played.

Why don’t they make headgear mandatory?

Look at all the Pacifica players choosing to represent their country or birth at the RWC and also getting the bigger money that Europe or Japan can offer.
I think it’s great.
Has certainly made the league world cup alot more entertaining.

Rugby News: Cane urges All Blacks rethink on OS stars, rugby's shocking death threat problem exposed

It will slowly some in, sooner than you think.
It will be more controlled, not like other teams it Australia and SA.
There will be a set amount of caps (like the Geitau law), but will allow one forward and one back that can be selected from overseas.

NZRFU will relax their overseas player eligibility laws. It’s only a matter of time.

100% agree.
Everyone at home who were sitting on the couch couldn’t believe the TMO interference.
Such a shame it happened in the final.

Rugby News: World Rugby warns Kiwis' over 'robbery' whine, Barnes hits back at ABs, damning report into 'toxic' culture

Sounds like Foster wrote a letter to WR regarding his disappointment with the inconsistent decisions/calls made during the final, and their reply has been leaked to stuff.co.nz

Did Kreil go off for a HIA?
If its all about player safety, I really can’t understand why both players weren’t checked a neutral Dr.

Sam Cane cops ban for World Cup final red card

Like Eddie Jones’s excuses.

'My heart breaks for him': Boks coach's message to Ian Foster is pure class as he bows out an unlucky loser

At least the AB’s get out of their pool.
Worry about your own backyard, because RA is in a massive shi+e storm.

Because Keril tried to step him.

Yea I don’t understand that either.
If it’s bad enough for a yellow or red, then in the interest of player health, surely the player that got tackled needs to go off for a HIA.

One tackler goes high to stop the off load.
One high, one low. Just like league.

Did Keril even get a HIA assessment?
