It is a game to remember for Canberra fans. Wowww! Canberra chemists will run out of stripsles to treat the soar throughts.

Is Josh Hodgson now the best rake in the game?

Due to work commitments, I had to watch the game from overseas. I couldn’t stop jumping and cheering for the Raiders tries. My little 1yo son jumped and cheered as he thought I was playing with him. Priceless!
In my humble opinion, the best side won! With all due respect to Melbourne Storm, they didn’t deserve to win tonight. I am pretty sure they will recover and perhaps go all they way to a grand final againt who? The Raiders again perhaps!
As for the touchies howler?! What can I say? The rule is the rule. Remeber the Raiders vs Sharks few years ago when the touchie raised his flag and the Raiders players stopped, only for the touchie to drop the flag and a Shark player picked the ball and walked untouched to score under the post. That was a disgrace! What happened tonight was another shocker! Anyway, hard luck Storm.

Yes we Canberra! Raiders shock Storm in qualifying final

You sound exactly like the ref who is asked about the elbow on the neck and he replies I call what I see.
Did I say the Raiders deserved to win? No!
Did I say the Storm are bad? No!
But it is just the unconscious mind that makes you imagine things other than what the reality is.
Take nothing from the Storm who are champions and perhaps they will go all the way to win a well-deserved championship. What is disappointing is the bad ref standard when the refs are not impartial. The refs are taking sides.
Anyway, it is alright son. I understand it could be a bit hard to realize. Perhaps it is rocket science that requires a certain IQ level.

The Raiders were depleted of their key guns, Croker, Boyd, Oldfield, Wighton and Hingano to name a few. They even didn’t have enough subs to make a team list! What do you expect when a depleted team faces a team in form on the top of the ladder?
It was a well deserved win for the Storm. Saying that, the Storm didn’t need the luxury of the refs biased calls. Plenty of things for the Raiders were not called, Slator’s forward pass leading to the first try, high-tackle on Sam Williams, tackle on Rapana without the ball, elbo on Hodgson’s neck, etc. The funny justification from the ref, “I call things the way I see them.” Well done! Refs solidarity is obvious. But the game would be in a better shape if that solidarity was for being impartial instead of taking sides. What a shame?!

No wonder the Storm wins against depleted Raiders. But to say the refs were fair, that’s way wrong. A tackle without the ball is a tackle without the ball. It should be a penalty, no matter whether it’s a green jumper or purple one!
It is a lame excuse when the ref says “I call what I see” when Hodgson was elbowed on the neck. What about Sam Williams taken out by a high tackle and without the ball. The ref didn’t see that either?! The refs are a disgrace. The should face the media conference after the game.
