There may well be a NSW/Victoria bias but there are 16/24 teams (I’m including Canberra) and that’s where the majority of Australia’s population live. It’s a bit rich to say “all those Fury and Gold Coast supporters” as they were getting 2 or 3 thousand to most games. Yes, that’s similar to Macarthur and WU, but my understanding is that those two teams are financially stable. WU not having a stadium undoubtedly affects their crowds. And Macarthur’s crowds are starting to go up, they got 5K a few weeks ago.

Waz, a hypothetical alternate universe scenario : Brisbane Roar make the Grand Final(!) and will play at Suncorp (not Sydney or Melbourne), as the APL did a deal with the QLD government. Mariners fans are scabs? So they shouldn’t go and support their beloved team in the Grand Final? (Especially when it’s only a 2 hour drive instead of in Melbourne?). You’re blinded by your obsession with the administrators. Supporting your team, the league (the overall quality is excellent), and football in general, is surely more important than your contempt of our sports administrators both past and present? Brisbane Roar were not in the Grand Final and are unlikely to be in one in the near future. So any way you look at it, you’d be watching it on tv. Are you showing your solidarity and support for Melbourne City and their few fans? I’ve never seen you support Melbourne City in any way, you only have negative things to say about them!
