Thank you for sharing your insights. Your point about rugby going down the NFL path is concerning, as you know in every tackle/ruck situation both teams are commiting multiple infringements if you like a flag and review on every single play I would hate to see what the game would look like if the officiating was that consistant. I believe we should embrace the officiating after all we need something to talk about over a beer in our post match. When I was coaching one of my favourites was “take the ref out of the game” if you are good enough the refereeing bloopers won’t affect the result.
