I think there are definately racist elements in the booing of Adam Goodes. Racism against aboriginal people has always been prevalent in this country. I hope it will eventually be overcome. It is important for any aboriginal person who perceives racism against them to say so. The comments may not have been delivered by a racist person & they may not have been intended to be racist, but if the person who is the target of the comments perceives them to be racist, then they are racist. More people need to understand this, & more people need to show more compassion towards others feelings. I hope the Geelong crowd cheer him every time he goes near the ball because he is a champion of the game & a champion of his people.
