What a fantastic piece Darren. Your “rookie” days are coming to an end. Well done!

Why the Payne fairytale is not about feminism

As a Crows supporter I can only add that Dangerfield’s arrival will be on a par with Judd’s impact at Carlton. The only difference being that the Cats have a much stronger nucleus of players to support him. Don’t underestimate his impact – he is a rare talent and the footy world have still not seen the best of him! Definite Brownlow Medallist in the waiting.

Can the Cats take the pressure?

After witnessing the carnage that was Geelong last night against the Magpies, I can’t help but think the Cats will throw everything they can to secure Danger from the Crows. With everything to play for including Menzel’s much anticipated return from injury, Scott’s post match comments that Geelong are a middle of the table team could not be truer. The question now, despite the go home factor, is whether Danger wants to be part of another re-building environment or remain with the Crows who are finals bound? Just too hard to read!

Mark my words, Adelaide Oval will remain Danger's field

Danger comes across as one of the smartest, business minded guys going around and yet if he does make the move to leave the Crows it won’t be money that influences his decision but rather the yearning to be closer to family and friends which obviously benefits the Cats as his preferred club of destination. Unlike the Tippet saga, Paddy will be driven by loyalty to family first then his football club. My feeling is that Geelong and Adelaide will negotiate on a player (Murdoch?) and exchange of draft picks, similar to the Carlton/West Coast deal for Juddy, should Paddy decide to leave the nest.
