I watched Reds v Tahs at Roma. In short, the Reds played like a well coached rugby team and with intent.
On the other hand, my impression was that the Tahs were asleep until half time, demonstrated a total lack of interest, and played an amateurish game at best!

'A bit deflating': Headaches for Waratahs after Reds trial thrashing, Brumbies win after Force miss post-siren kick

The Rebels need their very own Twiggy!

Exclusive: Wallabies star to return to Waratahs in fresh blow to Rebels

Will the new coach match 73% Eddie??

CONFIRMED: England pull the pin on Eddie's World Cup dream as assistant steps up as interim coach

I had to turn the game off with 15 minutes left, but the only conclusion I can reach is that the Wallabies is an incompetent team incompetently coached and that the first order of business should be to remove the coach and assistants! There is obviously a disconnect between Rennie and the team.

It's pasta joke! Rennie defends mass changes as discipline a killer again in first-ever loss to Italy

Yet again the referee is the star of the match!

REACTION: 'Disgraceful!': Wallabies stunned as ref 'cracks under pressure,' hands Bledisloe Cup to All Blacks

It must be now beyond doubt that the overbearing officials are the stars of test match rugby. If one wants to watch a proper, free flowing and entertaing game of rugby, the ShuteShield finalyesterday betwren the Gay Gordons amd Uni is recommended and on replay on Stan!

REACTION: Boks turn salty tears into raging torrent of revenge, Marika smashed and humbled in TRC 'mugging'

Bottom line is that the spring tour is not as important as the home tests. But let’s hope that Cooper, Kerevi and co are available to play in Oz next year!

'I'm hurt I couldn't please everyone:' 'Vulnerable' Quade Cooper on decision to choose club over country

The breaks in play were an issue, but would like to see this fellow referee the Kiwis.
Oh, and how good is Quade? But we have known that for decades!

MATCH REPORT: 'He's a big game player. He said I've got it and he nailed it'

For some time there has been serious disquiet about the Waratahs’ administration and board. The sacking of coach Penney raises the level of disquiet!
Whether the Waratahs enjoy success in coming years will depend significantly on the retention and recruitment of quality players, something that the current administration has not been able to manage!

Winless Waratahs axe Rob Penney

The most important change for next week will be to get rid of that ref O’Keefe who allowed kiwis to get away with murder in the first 20 minutes, at which point I turned it off!

Groundhog day for the Wallabies: Four talking points from Bledisloe 3

IMHO Joe Frost is not only wide of the mark but is regrettably disrespectful of Castle.
However, looking only at the resolution of the litigation commenced by the former rugby player and its recent resolution on confidential terms, litigants are bound by rules of court in all Australian jurisdictions to mediate disputes with a view to settlement.
There are two principal reasons for these rules. Firstly litigation in the 21st Century is prohibitively expensive. Secondly judicial resources are limited. The conduct of litigation places substantial demands on the public purse.
In these circumstances and having regard to the overriding commercial interest of parties to end such disputes on terms that allow them to move on with their ordinary business, that RA and the former rugby player reached a settlement ought not be seen to be surprising or extraordinary.
A settlement was to be expected.
Indeed, it is a major distraction for a business or an individual to be involved in litigation or other such disputes!
The core business of RA is rugby. One hopes that the game may now begin!

Raelene Castle's tenure has been a failure – what else did RA expect?

Your top 23 is spit on, but where is our gun goal kicker?? CL at 69% needs to improve to at least 85% for the WC!

What are the final pieces of the Wallabies' World Cup puzzle?

The coaching cupboard is bare….so think well outside the square and beg Craig Bellamy from Melbourne Storm to take them on!

Daryl Gibson resigns as Waratahs head coach after dismal season

Those who understand the Folau problem to be about freedom of speech and/or freedom of religion are missing the point and the people funding Folau’s litigation against Rugby Australia have been hoodwinked or are misguided.
Folau’s proselytizing in my view demonstrates a total lack of respect for the rights of others to lead a decent life within societal norms and expectations.
Jesus Christ was not interested in running other people’s lives. Rather he was interested in healing the sick, caring for others and casting merchants out of the temple.
Folau, however is a zealot who is apparently interested in moralising, money and giving offence.

Folau hoping to crowd-fund legal case against Rugby Australia

Whilst it would be good to have Pocock available for Wallabies and the 23 Brumbies in the Super finals, frankly I could not have any of the Rebels or Waratahs on display this weekend in the Wallaby squad. They were pathetic!
Instead I would complete the squad with a dozen or so Reds.

Pocock set for early return from injury

With you on this T!

No change in law for Skelton rugby return

Once again I say let the courts deal with such matters. That is the role of our very effective judicial system.
It is not the business of an employer to interfere and seek to impose double penalties on those such as Latu charged with drink driving or other offences.
In this case a magistrate, if the offender is convicted, will no doubt impose a significant penalty by way of fine and suspension. Is not that sufficient??

Tolu Latu officially stood down by Waratahs

My view on Latu….trouble does seem to follow him, but this would seem to be a first offence.
Whilst a serious matter, drink driving is not a capital offence, yet!
As is the case with every other citizen, let the criminal law deal with his drink driving charge. RA and Tahs should not thorough the toys out of the cot on this occasion!

Waratahs refuse to sink under controversy

Anticipating verdict the applicant de Belin with costs!

'It's Mabo. It's the vibe': The NRL's Federal Court defence

At least two lessons may be learnt by RA from this Folau matter. Firstly, don’t sign players to long term contracts. Secondly ensure that the contract conditions allow the employer to terminate for misconduct in all its forms.

Israel Folau to fight Rugby AU sanction

If Folau is attempting to demonstrate adherence to Christian principles his performance is unconvincing at best. There is no room for bigotry and vilification in the Christian tradition! Faith, hope, charity, love, peace and tolerance are its foundations.

The tragic tale of Israel Folau

Folau is apparently a fool with no self respect and no respect for others. As for the Wallabeez, no player is indispensable!

Israel Folau does not deserve the sack

Folau wonderful rugby player, but no respect!

What about your future kids, Izzy?

Now Wallabies can select a proper 15, and there are a few candidates!

Tah-Tah, Izzy: Rugby Australia, NSW Rugby confirm they'll sack Folau

Folau is an athlete of rare talent but he apparently lacks respect for his employer, the rugby community and himself. He needs to move on and hopefully find that respect outside of rugby.
Finally, as a nation we are discovering that there is no place in the conduct of our daily lives for religious bigotry or for vilificstion of any kind. These are principles to which Rugby Australia adheres. It will serve all of us well to adopt these principles!

Rugby union would be a more inclusive, kinder place without Israel Folau and his backwards views
