Great read Brendan. I’m actually taking that game as a win for the team and more so for Rennie. With a bit of (overdue) luck injury wise the Wallabies won’t disgrace themselves next year.

I remember the Back-hander vividly. You have a Munster connection I take it? I’m resident in Clare these last 20 years.

Despite heartbreaking loss, there's still reasons for Wallabies fans to be optimistic

Fair comment. Imagine the reaction if he had changed a winning side & they’d lost. Not sure Foster & co had much reason to tinker with the selections. Did the game plan change or was it just badly executed? The relative lack of kicking suggests a deliberate policy change, maybe because it was ‘just’ Argentina and they expected BB & co to run riot in the last 15? Not insane, necessarily, but a bit disrespectful, to say the least.

'No identity': What are the All Blacks trying to do?

Arguing from a position of world class ignorance I wonder if there aren’t some mitigating factors in the case against TT?
1. Is Gallo boring in and under?
2. The tackle physics look pretty complex to me.
a. Gallo is being assisted by Puma 3(?) which may well have helped G keep on his feet and moving out of the tackle (4.03s).
b. The impact of the other Wallaby (can’t quite make out who it is) involved may have had a similar effect.

Any possible mitigation aside the effort it takes him to get up after the tackle seems decent evidence for those in the ‘not-match-fit’ camp.

Gallo is a superstar in the making.
