Thought the 35k or whatever it was last night wasn’t bad. Canberra isn’t the biggest of draw cards.
It's time to punt the dead ball kick in the NRL
Fair point. Boyd and Aku did drop deeper in the second half to try and negate it.
It's time to punt the dead ball kick in the NRL
Me too! Can’t stand it. Makes for boring play.
It's time to punt the dead ball kick in the NRL
What if the ball was kicked from inside the attacking teams half though? You wouldn’t get too many trying to stop it in goal from that far out.

Oikee and Yeah Sure, i’m saying that if Te’o hits someone in the head (like he did) then all involved should say as much. Of course he isn’t coached to hurt someone. I’m not trying to soften the game up. I’m trying to point out that if you do break the rules then there are consequences. It seems the match reviewers agree. 4 matches (possibly a tad tough) but for Griffin and Te’o to say there wasn’t really much in it is a joke.
NRL coaches' attitude to foul play must change
But Roarsome the onus isn’t on Groat to sidestep or fend. Te’o has a responsibility to not smack another player in the head. I’m fine with shoulder charges, but If it goes wrong there’s consequences. Coaches don’t seem to realise that.
NRL coaches' attitude to foul play must change
My point is fellas is that it’s fine if a player wants to pull off the big one but the coach and the player for that matter need to take responsibility when it does go wrong. Too often we get some lame excuse. Not good enough.

I agree that it does play an important part in educating kids about respect for an opponent and the game etc, but the handshake snub (that was always likely to happen) was the cause of more scenes that were far worse for the game. Not good for kids to see that and then repeat on the weekend – so the simple solution yesterday would’ve been to bin the handshake.
Suarez saga shows it's time to give handshake the flick
Hi LK, I’m an employee of Sky News Australia. We’re in no way connected to fox sports, but as others have commented above and below the STV numbers the Big Bash produced were huge and worthy of a mention. So no I have no obligation what so ever to talk up the BBL.
Big Bash misses with crowds, but TV ratings a hit
The problem is that Clarke isn’t in control of what makes its way into the media. If he seeks publicity to get his real image out there – he is seen as an attention seeker but if he stays away from the media he is seen as closed off or arrogant. He can’t win.
Why is Pup forced to visit the adjustment bureau?
Spot on Paddy Boy. It has in fact happened many times in the past where Clarke has had a sizeable bandwagon following him – but then they jump off as soon as something goes wrong.
Why is Pup forced to visit the adjustment bureau?
Thank goodness for that mate – Can you imagine Steve Waugh on a giant billboard or Mark Taylor!!!

Hanzo, his groin is no good and needs surgery. Wouldn’t be season ending, but close enough to it apparently.
NRL: Five things we learnt from round four this weekend
DB, Scott vs Mannah was one of the best forward contests i’ve seen since Spud and Chief went at it. Scott is an unbelievable worker.

Could be massive concern for Farah. He’ll play on because he’s tough, but he was close to useless yesterday. Not his fault, because he’s injured, but playing though the pain isn’t always the smartest thing.

Hot topic Martin Kennedy at the moment. What’s everyone’s thoughts on him being claimed by QLD. Absolute disgrace if they get away with another Inglis-like situation.

G’day Ken, McManus, though never took his eyes off the ball either and also tried to jump for it. It’s a 50-50 situation and i think if you’ve got a guy barrelled in mid-air it’s enough to get a penalty. I see your point though.

Perhaps the Gold Coast Indy set up could be another option?
Why Melbourne deserves to lose the F1 Grand Prix
How many projects has the state gov’t wasted significantly more than that on and then scrapped? At least you’d be able to have something to show for your tax dollar.

I went for the first time last year. It’s amazing how you can hear the cars from the CBD. One of the most amazing events I’ve ever covered. Enjoy mate.

Rooty Hill RSL is the same time on Thursday. I agree all clubs should do it every off-season.
