Personally I think faf de Clurk and Beadan should be your 9-10 , but who is the coach ? Is it Foster the winning coach ,Rennie who upset the springboks or Neinabar who realistically was 2 place kicks away from winning the rugby championship ??

Both countries need each other for various reasons I would personally keep the 5 Aussie teams ,break up the kiwi franchises creating 8 teams plus Fiji and moana pacific creating a 15 team Comp 7 games each week , that should make it a even competition with wins shared each week , example keep highlanders as is , base a team in both Christchurch and Tasman ( combined side any way ) , add a central team Hawkes bay manawatu Taranaki , Wellington , Waikato & BOP , Auckland , and a northern side north harbour& northland , Moana pacific to be aligned with counties , you could still split the comp into a 5 team conference system also creating a home and away game for each Aussie team creating local derbies ,

I think Aussie franchises should align the selves with NZ NPC teams much like the NRL teams do with the QLD cup in league , for example you could have the force aligned with BOP with young perth players able to come and play club rugby in the Bay and a few bay of plenty players in their squad and even have pre season matches in Rotorua. Hawkes Bay / Melbourne Rebels . Brumbies / north harbour . Counties / Moana Pacifica . Will help keep NZ in retaining more players for NPC , and I don’t think it will affect the wallabies as they were at there best when they only had 3 super squads to pick from so it’s a win win .

This is how I would fix it ,Aussie teams to have NZ NPC teams a feeder clubs, much like they do in the NRL with the Melbourne storm aligning with Brisbane clubs , for example the force could be aligned with Bay of Plenty , send young players their to play club rugby each year and have one game a year in Rotorua , more than what the chiefs play anyway
