Yes fair points. The Wallabies are frustrating k y close to being a fine team. But note AB’s ALWAYS have a dtrong straight running 12 and that keeps the line straight. A genuine big fast No8 who can play lineout would be nice too . Liked the way backs varied positions. Teams were closer than score
Seven talking points from Bledisloe Game 3
A long bow and bringing back old coaches doesn’t work. My main criticism is the captaincy of Hooper and the inability of the back coaches to attack/defend. Cheika doesn’t know anything about international back play and sadly it looks as if Larkham doesn’t either. Spiro is dead right about Beale. No no 10 at this level. On the other hand we don’t have much depth and we lack talent in crucial places. When Matt Tumua is regarded as a transformer that seem obvious. Grand player but largely anonymous and predictable on attack at test level
Cheika's hapless Wallabies are the real victims of the 2004 Brumbies player-power push
Very good points here. Time Larkham came under more pressure. Beale is not a 10 and never will be at crunch level. Better at fullback. Genia does well but why does Gordon never get a run? The future as is Stewart. Byrne and Grey similarly ordinary.Cheika does not seem to keep the right people. Hooper has great energy but not taking the goal kicks is rubbish
Progress starts by fixing things that have fallen off along the way
Incidentally why do bloggers keep calling for Cooper? Hasn’t been a real internatoonal force for years
