Yes the soap opera continues. But when will RA realise they are sitting on a gold mine already deep with nuggets and developing mire and more. Hire a decent script writer, producer and director. The doco on Eddie Jones was lame compared to Roar comments. There is drama, characters, intensity and a world audience. How can RA save Rugby in Australia? Make the movie, then the series, watch the dollars roll in. Its not for Stan to rip off. And buying Rugby league players won’t make the same return. Wake up and see the opportunity. Spend more money on marketing and grassroots. Build a great culture. Say goodbye to players who don’t want to play for the wallabies. When RA is deeply securely financial and celebrating and supporting the key forwards that allow for spectacular backline moves then make risky investments. So far I doubt any if the investments have paid reasonable dividends Folau included given the eventual damage and costs he caused.

Wonder kid offered 3-yr, $1.6m deal to stay in Aussie rugby - and why it could see Wallabies stars leave Ballymore

Saying Tate is the premium half for the wallabies is really just trying to apply some balm to the wounded Reds fans looking for something positive to read. Issue for Tate is obviously his pass but also team awareness – he is super talented and needs players to be alert to his likely unpredictable runs. If he was bigger or just faster he could be our missing 10. Tom Wright is also a super talent that often plays as a solo athlete But last weekend showed brilliance as a team player. And could potentially be a 10 if NL or JD become unavailable for the Brumbies. Not sure about either tate or wrights kicking though.

OMG! Reds are going to need Nic Berry to ref their match against the Brumbies next week. 😱 😱 😱

Reds' 'unbelievable, unfathomable' double disaster sums up shocker as Force spring stunning upset

Yeah nah … esp if they play like they did against the force. They’ll need Nic Berry to ref then they should at least be guaranteed a win, at the 80+ minute mark with the tmo involved.

'Statement game': Brumbies smash Moana Pasifika as Lolesio, Wright and Toole light up Canberra

Well played WF!! Glad to see another aussie team finding cohesion and belief to played expansive and accurate. Reds just got the wobbles as the mental game isn’t so simple as “just do it like last week”. Tate showed his strengths and weaknesses, as did Nic, though I prefer Nic’s weakness in a team than Tate’s.
Thought Nic’s try just before halftime would really rub salt into many of the roarers sore spots. Chuckle chuckle 😂 :laughing

Larkham sounds like an intelligent coach. Always interesting to hear his analysis- so different to Jones. The Brumbies tonight against Moana Pacifica looked very well coached. Kiss also seems to be having a great impact. CV’s ultimately are just an introduction. And in the case of Eddie Jones a deception.

Set up to fail: The gaping hole in Aussie Super Rugby coaching CVs - with one clear exception

Surprise packet for me tonight was Tom Wrights development. I haven’t been a fan of his play for a while. But this was His best game for a year and finally seemed to be playing with the team and passing, and setting up offloads. When he chip kicked from inside his 22 to Corey Toole and backed up for the try it felt like Dan Carter had possessed him. His footwork, decoy and last offload again to Toole in the dying minutes was sublime, more 10 like than 15 and I wonder if he should be nurtured into a 10 position at some stage.

Biscuit brain has it in for the Brumbies and anything associated with Brumbies. Thats why he’s trying to make an argument out if nothing.

Laurie Fisher confirmed on Team Joe as Wallabies invited to Ireland's 150th celebrations

Very excited for the Reds and excellent performance last weekend. Keep it up.
It would be interesting to hear about general health, sleep and nutrition in any of the super rugby elite teams. Now we all know about brain trauma and brain health. Yet I can imagine alcohol, processed food, medicated sleep are ignored or unchecked. Something elite athletes like olympians and atp tennis players would be very aligned with. Yet you hear the comforting post match commentary of sinking a few beers and I roll my eyes for the coaches who are gradually losing the capacity recovery of such players. Brain and muscle health is sleep, hydration and quality food. Alcohol especially is for retirement and the domain of the fans.

'Be useful': how unrivalled discipline and work rate is lifting the Reds to new heights

I enjoy the spectacular delusions that is Trump soap opera as long as the world doesnt suffer too much. Likewise very keen to keep up with the “eddie does Japan”episodes. Please keep up these articles ????

Eddie puts his foot in it again by claiming 'no regrets' after leaving Wallabies in 'a better place'

Wow!! Thanks mate, Ive learnt from you today. You’re correct and the term should be “confabulation” – to unknowingly convey an untruth. 👍 👍 👍
Eddie the confabulator! But I suspect he knows and is able to override that part if his brain with the perfect image of himself. Like Trump … so strong wise and handsome. 😂 😂 😂

Yes definitely a narcissist. The more I looked in to this it seemed the term sociopath covered the Variety of behaviours. Machiavellian narcissist psychopath … main issue is a desire for power in of itself at the expense of others but also of the tasks of any job description. Check out Brian Klass – Why the wrong people end up in positions of power.

Waugh reveals shocking $2.6 million unapproved budget blowout on Eddie Jones' World Cup debacle

The poor performance of much of Australian rugby and many Wallabies matches during the last many years are for many reasons however, the appalling year that was 2023 was primarily due to the two sociopath’s who called the shots namely HM and EJ.
Yet the major changes have no mention yet of systematic checks to make sure SOCIOPATHS are identified within the organisation, expelled and refused a place. It is a real situation that requires a sharp lense and commitment to eradicate.

Wow!! How to ignite your fan base. Congratulations Coleman. Gordon, Edmed, and basically a whole team with belief and massive effort. Looking forward to seeing that belief again.
Thought the Crusaders lacked a bit of humility post match but understandably confused as most of us were.

'We needed that': Gordon, Kellaway star in Rebels' epic comeback win as Force capitulate

How poor is the commentary teams arithmetic? During and post match: “33 unanswered points …” Errrr 29 Tim. At least Christy Doran checks his facts before publishing. 👍 😁
Fun match but frustrating. How much was due to Nic Berry? Thoughts anyone?

I disagree generally and don’t understand much of how your system would improve if things. Personally I thoroughly enjoy super rugby as it is, minus referee failings and a few fiddly rules. So those areas I would be happy to rework. Main issue, as Piru just mentioned, is the rubbish marketing. Poach rugby leagues marketing team and leave their players alone. It would seem the RA did the past 20 years marketing as its been so woeful.

Seven point plan to save Super Rugby

So many of the posts on the roar are about winning, and that seems to be the answer to success, and the money will flow. However, I don’t think that’s the case there are many other codes that seem to succeed without having great success and many other codes and teams with an abundance of money, that don’t seem to win. I would be investigating how the marketing and relationship to sponsors and particular TV networks has played out over the last 20 years. I don’t know what the answer is but I’d be targeting that area. Could it be that we have been failed but useless shirts, perhaps in a position of decision making because of mateship and not capability?

CONFIRMED: Rebels CEO made redundant and coaches have contract cuts as hopes of Super Rugby survival fade

Absolutely correct to protect a growing brain and plenty of options to practice rugby skills without impact trauma obviously possible from real game play. Practice tackling in training would be good and safer than in actual game. Touch rugby can develop keys skills of passing and running to a far higher level than those kids already gifted in running clumsily through to the try line with success (me as a child – and I missed out in the passing catching and running skills), and I did get concussion and I do have memory issues all my adult life.
BTW the knowledge gaining on brain health is complimentary to exercise and strength and coordination- no coddling wanted at all. And Readers of the near future will be bemused to read a talent like Mat Hanson drinking and eating rubbish in his prime – thats why he felt like rubbish.
OK fat old drinking roarers – correct this post. 🥊
