How many times has he stared at 10? Not many I can think of.

REACTION: 'Somehow!' - Wallabies reprieved at the death to open tour with nail biting win over Scotland

Well, Tony Shaw, but that is going back a bit.

Why Queensland have discovered a Red diamond in Seru Uru

Thanks Geoff, always a good read. I for one was sorry to see Willie le Roux get 10. He’s worth more to us on the field. How many panic passes does he throw to avoid getting tackled? His team mates must hate him.

The Wrap: Quade Cooper finds the sweet spot to bring the Wallabies home

Lonergan, yes geez, after he was rag-dolled last time.

'We want to back Noah': Every word Rennie said on Quade, Fainga’a, Kerevi and Tate calls

I am surprised that Matt Philip’s name doesn’t come up much, he was pretty strong in the line-out while he was on, I thought. With all the chatter about the half backs, I don’t understand why Joe Powell is so out of favour. I’ve thought he has been the form domestic half over the past couple of years and he doesn’t get a look in. Cheika did him no favours and it seems to have tainted him. As for Nic White, I’ll never forgive him for that kick with 17 secs to go that lost us that game against the ABs.

Wallabies DIY player ratings vs France: The results - plus Will Genia's take

Or have more time on his hands to make mischief.

July start for an Australian domestic comp, and it can’t come a moment too soon

I think you are confusing two things. Every team has a dozen players who have bagged at least one cap. Only the Waratahs is stacked with undroppables, and that is the frustrating thing. Yes, they finished higher, so they should have.
Of all the positive hype surrounding this round, it is more the thought that new selectors may pick on form is the biggest driver.

Six talking points from Super Rugby Round 2

Brett, good article. We should respect the achievements. No one expects the Aussie’s to do that well in in the Ashes and the cynicism isn’t surprising. But there are encouraging signs from these tests. I didn’t think the Golden team would post that horrible 2005 Ashes result. So, who knows, we may have a sleeper on our hands.

“Yeah, but it was” …the laziest cricket argument going

I think Cleary’s leanings are pretty clearly league from past works I’ve seen, so I don’t think he has a union versus league axe to grind. Having said that I think he is being a bit soft on these clowns.

By the way Beale is getting roasted plenty on rugby posts.

Chill out, Dylan Napa, fresh outrage is coming

The Wallabies are a disaster and are going backwards. It’s time for a change and it is hard to imagine the Wallabies doing any worse at the RWC if they were uncoached. But I find the Raelene Castle witch hunt disturbing. Anyone remember Bill Pulver? He was the architect of Australian rugby disaster only a year ago. Castle has been inherited a mess and has been in the job for less than a year. The calls for her head highlight the worst side of the rugby old boys’ club which has seen the sport driven into the ground.

To save the Wallabies, Clyne, Castle and Cheika must go

It looked like he was relieved to be tackled and have a rest. It was shocking how easily he was run down.

Wallabies defeat Italy, but the RWC 2019 cause still looks hopeless

Tim this is massive click bait guaranteed to light up every K1 in the tri state area.

I'm totally over the Haka

Can you really see Debreczeni making ABs 10 in a million years?

Michael Cheika's mixed selections for Italy

Matt, good read. I like the team.

Wallabies selector wanted. How hard can it be?

I think you are a bit tough putting Cully and Smith in there.

The Wrap: Cheika and Jones both losers, but heading down very different paths

Matt, the penalties were severe but the event sure opened a vein in the nation. There was an amazing outpouring of disgust at the poor spirit that had built up in the team over years. It felt good that we manned up with penalties that said “cricket is better than this” “ we are better than this “.

Are the players taking the fall for the organisation? I don’t think so and don’t care. It would be a retrograde step to reverse now. Smith the prodigy who should never been made captain will be back better. Warner? Well there is a sense of karma for Davey. Bancroft, the trigger man? maybe but his time must nearly be served, mustn’t it?

Cricket’s vexed times at Ridgemont High

Haven’t seen any noticeable decline in the AB’s skill levels since The Kick’s departure, either.

Seems a similar situation to when we got Saker on as bowling coach after he was credited with the English bowling skills.

By the numbers: Are Mick Byrne and Nathan Grey up to scratch?

A nice testimony to test cricket and nice to see Finch and Head take to it so well, so much more substance than a T20 slog. I’ll be honest that I haven’t seen the magic in Khawaja before, but this rates as two of the best Australian innings of all time. A shame it was played in a vacant lot. What a tragedy for Pakistan and world cricket.

This is why Test cricket is played

That’s a pretty decent role call. I wouldn’t mind seeing how Toomua goes at 10. Hopefully he’s lost the pointless mid field kicks he was prone to last time. We need some speed on the wings. We are getting toasted by the Boks and Pumas who have serious speed now.

Why is Michael Cheika playing Russian roulette with his career?

Foley on bench, DHP full back, two weeks in a row is massive admission by Cheika. Koroibete lucky. Hope he finds form.

Wallabies bring back the big guns for Argentina showdown

A late response, but that game defined the category for me.

What happens when the result isn’t the most important part of a win?

It wasn’t a pretty game, but the ugliest game of any sport I have seen is reserved for a Wallabies Springboks Test in Brisbane about 10 years ago. When Berrick Barnes was still going around.

What happens when the result isn’t the most important part of a win?

Yes, we get it you are a Banks fan. Maddocks went ok after a shaky start and was unlucky to get hooked to fit in the totally unnecessary Foley sub. Hodge went hard at 13, DHP showed how a real fullback plays. Koroibete is a shadow of his form last year, unfortunately. Arnold was a passenger.

No Folau, no Pocock, no worries for Wallabies

But it did bounce our way and never seen so much kindness from refs, but maybe attitude buys you that. Thanks for the gracious comments.

Highlights: Wallabies blow their big chance to win Bledisloe 2

Some nasty sledging tonight. I admire your attitude Drongo, I can’t say I expected them to pull off a close one, but is did make you proud. One day.
