I am surprised that Matt Philip’s name doesn’t come up much, he was pretty strong in the line-out while he was on, I thought. With all the chatter about the half backs, I don’t understand why Joe Powell is so out of favour. I’ve thought he has been the form domestic half over the past couple of years and he doesn’t get a look in. Cheika did him no favours and it seems to have tainted him. As for Nic White, I’ll never forgive him for that kick with 17 secs to go that lost us that game against the ABs.

But I find the Raelene Castle witch hunt disturbing. Anyone remember Bill Pulver? He was the architect of Australian rugby disaster only a year ago. Castle has been inherited a mess and has been in the job for less than a year. The calls for her head highlight the worst side of the rugby old boys’ club which has seen the sport driven into the ground.

Yes, we get it you are a Banks fan. Maddocks went ok after a shaky start and was unlucky to get hooked to fit in the totally unnecessary Foley sub. Hodge went hard at 13, DHP showed how a real fullback plays. Koroibete is a shadow of his form last year, unfortunately. Arnold was a passenger.
