Surely they have run out of walls by now.

'All parts of the game': World Rugby set to follow RFU's lead and lower tackle height

Paradise by the Dashboard Light, while we are quoting Meatloaf. Does that mean Eddy is going to go Like a Bat out of Hell to whip the Wobblies into shape I wonder.

'Sitting in a TAB too much': Everything Eddie said about 'horse guy' ARL chair, Quade, Giteau Law and winning the RWC

Hi Tim,
I agree.I think RAHQs new theme song should be Tip Toe Through The Tulips.
Eddies got a bigger stick than he is being credited with.

Who will come out on top when RA and Eddie Jones inevitably collide?

The Wallabies need to be given to the SAS for a month and be taught how to be a team. I like individual skills in players but somethings not working no matter how many injuries we have sustained there is something not right.
And as much as I hate to admit it ,it is time for Hooper to lose the Captaincy and be benched and brought on at the end if needed.

Reminded me of the running of the bulls in Pamplona

'Plenty of chances so it hurts': Everything Dave Rennie and Hoops said about game tactics, subs and smack talk after loss

I blame white line fever for a lot of errors and poor peripheral vision, and support never seems to be running on hard enough to make the necessary line breaks close up.

No Red or Yellow Cards, Poms 5? Penalties in a row inside own 25.
Curious outcome for this game and No TMO interference which should be applauded unlike last week or should it.

REACTION: 'Talking smack about us': England skipper Lawes reveals 'fuel' Wallabies gave them in bitter battle

I agree 100% but wont the powerful barrister they hire do his best to get it downgraded to a penalty only with no respect for the potential life endangering actions of the perpetrator. I apologize for the cynical comment but more often than not the wigs have way to much influence over the obvious facts than they should. 10 weeks minimum and if Hooper wants to call for blood then so be it, he was the victim and doesn’t get to have a say at the judiciary. Oh by the way who the F accused Hooper of milking, you are a moron of the highest degree.

REACTION: Hoops wants rival to 'miss some weeks' after 'brain fart' red card helps Tahs to stirring win

Yes I agree to some extent ,but they have changed so much they are not an indication of a fair contest when so many bloody restarts and penalties are issued constantly . I don’t want to see rugby Leagues joke fest scrums but of all the areas of the game this is the one that drags it through the mud so to speak. Being more upright will negate the one arm pull down ,hinging, and collapsing to some degree, making it a contest for the ball ,there for lighter forwards who would be more mobile, quicker around the field changing the pace of the game like we all want.

Reduce the value of penalties, and four more law changes that would be game-changing for rugby

There is no possibility of a scrum being a contest for the ball in the modern game. Once many eons ago when props were 6ft tall and hookers 4ft 11 and a half tall ,and scrums were packed in a more upright fashion where the hooker could basically hang from the props shoulders, and when the ball was put in roughly down the imaginary centre of the scrum where both hookers could thrash at it with all there best available ankle kicking skills, and sometimes the half would get penalised for putting the ball in behind his hookers feet, was when there was a proper contested scrum. However now that is not possible now, which unfortunately makes the scrum basically useless as a contestable restart method.
Thankyou
WK

Sorry to hear HJH is out I feel hes been having his best season so far. Latu will never change hes not smart enough to realize his errant ways. I have been reading about the red cards and lengths of suspension here this morning and how it seems there is a certain amount of inconsistency with the way the judiciary handles itself .
So who makes up the judiciary for these hearings is it ex players ,ex coaches, barristers , lawyers or ex player administrators, all people that have been in the game and have a biased view of laws in a players favor to some degree to come up with the strictest disciplinary needs without endangering their career yet are seen to be doing something positive to get a result for those baying for blood. Showing remorse at a hearing is one thing but remorse really only works at the ending of your sentence and education really only works during your entire sentence. Maybe a second visit to the judiciary should be required before the suspended player gets back on the field.

Rugby News: 'Don't think it's good enough' - surprise over Rebel's latest ban, Crusaders' 'hurtful' review, Tahs injury blow

Phil Kearns is managed by a monkey sitting at a keyboard. His thinking is beyond useful and is at the core of RA rubbish management of our game.

Rugby News: The RA role perfect for Eddie's Aussie return, Latu too 'risky', Wallabies prop re-signs, All Blacks' super human recovery

A great list PK and definitely agree about all you have said, and I would like to throw this in, how about if a player is tackled and loses the ball forward then its a scrum and if it is simply a knock on in general play it is a quick tap just to keep the momentum going.Just some thoughts.
Cheers, Wobbly

The times they are a-changin: The truth about what impact rugby's infuriating stoppages are having on action

Thats exactly right carnivean, but those wishing to make it to the next level need to step up week in and out, you don’t win WC and Super titles on measured weekly performances against who you play based on their standing on the table generally.

'That's a crazy stat': Tahs' attacking flaw under review before Brumbies battle

I fully agree Dean but to state the obvious , if the Tahs don’t have a well disciplined (they know who they are) forward pack and play with good intensity, then kiss the back line contest good night.
I also hope that if Whites playing that hes been told to pull his head in , hes an embarrassment to all sides.

Some one will cop a red card for flattening White.

DONE DEAL: Beale's $500k sacrifice confirmed as he makes play for fourth World Cup

Im saddened to hear this MK .You were my first like on here and I have thoroughly enjoyed your commentary since I joined. Please have a chat to Tony I would like to think he will help to change your mind.
I echo Scott D’s words 👍

I agree with you Bobby, I didnt once yell at the TV or have a crack at the reff in both games. Felt strange to be so subdued, anyway, The Force should take it up to the Brums and hopefully their passion and skills set will pave the way for a close game. As a Tahs man and having lived in WA for 11 years I have a soft spot for the Force so go hard The Force 👍 😁

REACTION: Rebels captain unloads on team's 'culture of excuses' as Reds content to 'win ugly'

Doesn’t bode well for the Rebels if the only commentary is about the negativity of the squad. No club loyalty just contracts.
Hodge is wasted at the Rebels .

REACTION: Rebels captain unloads on team's 'culture of excuses' as Reds content to 'win ugly'

Yes it was a win for The Tahs but against nervy Drua. Tahs will need to be more comprehensive if they are going to go deep this season, ruck ball to slow , I like Swintons aggression but he will need to temper his temper if he is to continue, although he played well, I feel he got away with a bit it last night, but may not be so fortunate in the coming weeks. The backs never really got going did they.
However, lots more positives than negatives for me personally and will take a note pad to the armchair for the next game ( the red wine has clouded my memory). Seems like Coleman may have learned the boys about loyalty to club and each other which to me has been sorely missing in the past.
I hope the Drua can learn quickly from last night ,they should be and are better than that performance indicates and as stated by Tahs players are hard men to grapple with so look out when it falls into place for them.
Good write up Tony you give us newbies food for thought and the chance to make comment. Lets go Tahs YEWWWWWWW

Super Rugby tipping panel Week 1: Let us be more Pacific

How about just banning the intercept and concentrate on defense. If you happen to be gifted an intercept then good times otherwise be done with it and make tackling more important.

It's time rugby union changed the intentional knock-on rule

Hi All,
It seems to me by most of the comments that it is expected of No 15 to be perfect at all times. Never going to happen, as none of the possible 15’s has every possible skill in one package that seems to be required by all believers or critics. Kurtley isn’t the answer nor has he been put forward as the answer however with good management and crafty training one of the many available 15’s could clearly make the cut and appease some of the head hunters out there. I would like to think in due course that someone will shine and stand up to be counted and I contend it is far to early to be dissecting every available payer’s skill right now . Lets give them all a chance and see how much improvement they have made and can make for themselves before we criticise them any further.
And now my 2bobs worth. I always thought that Quade made an excellent fullback.
Thankyou and Goodnight.

Analysis: Is Kurtley Beale really the answer to the Wallabies' fullback conundrum?
