Ridiculous! Three years to someone unproven and hasn’t done F-all for the club. The board are crazy. We really need to get rid of him and get a new recruiter/s that will find a quality striker rather than an old slow striker that has passed his peak (Krpic, Antonsson, Hemed, Cox to name a few).

Sydney can't get past nine-man Bulls, Wanderers on life support, Cahn departs

Thank you for informing about the titles. I was not aware of the articles not titled by writers but if that’s the case it’s not a good title and something to raise with the editor. So you say the evidence of those clips are not enough, yet you are saying “police… were as scared as they have ever been when a few thugs in the RBB decided to go at them physically. ” Where’s the evidence to that since the other clips don’t make a determination? Also, when i said “everyone”, it was meant to imply people complaining about the article not literally “everyone”. As a massive football fan, I’m here trying defend football fans and the active support culture. I look forward to reading about the financial issues in the coming months.

Violence is not 'passion': Wanderers fans chuck a wobbly again... why is it always them?

Stuart, what i don’t understand in your article is that you instantly refer to the RBB in acts of violence, which we can ask agree violence is never the answer. The title of your article is Violence is not ‘passion’: Wanderers fans chuck a wobbly again… why is it always them?
You instantly blame the RBB for chucking a wobbly, but never in your article blame the police. You defend them by saying “Soon after, a number of fans turned violent in the bowels of the stadium as soon as the police began to apply law and order.”
That was not law and order. That was brutality and excessive force.
Everyone is upset at your article because it seems you scapegoat the RBB but never the police for their actions. It’s either poor reporting and going by what channel 9 (NRL lovers) says or you assume the worst from RBB and profiled them as violent people.
As you probably already know, WSW CEO has written to members defending their fans after they have reviewed the footage.
If you are a fan of football in Australia, articles like this when not true damage the sport and fan culture, so be careful how you write your articles and have conclusive evidence.

Stuart, I suggest that you don’t stigmatise the RBB unless you were there and have 100% proof of what happened. It’s easy to say I won’t do or say anything when you’re not in that situation and walk away but something must have triggered them to act in that manner that wasn’t appropriate. It had nothing to do with an unauthorised banner but more to do with the organisers of the banner not allowed to return to their area even though it was organised with everyone before hand.
Please stick to reporting about the game and not the fans unless you know 100% without unbiased and untainted information.

I think everyone was confused, even the players and Halloran… the referee was showing a red to Simmons for simulation.
In seriousness, definitely not a red card. I feel it was making up for Farrell’s red card last week.
If i want to bring my tin foil hat out and talk conspiracies… could it be to help WSW win so that their fans are more confident in beating SFC and therefore more people to the stadium? That, plus only giving Rudan 2 games and a suspended game instead of 3 games on the trot which coincides with missing the derby? General tickets i usually get for mates or partner to sit next me at the game are usually $30 but have gone up to $50 for the derby. Am i thinking too much?

Highly controversial red card cruels Adelaide as Wanderers jump into top four

Nothing’s gonna happen to Farrell. If they do, it means they admit an error was made on the day.
They would rather stand by their officials than rectify or apologise.

Bruno-less Victory fire blanks, Pelligra Group hope to restore Glory days, was Rudan ban appropriate?

So studs in the ankle is due to poor ground conditions? Any raised studs in a slide tackle is a red. No consistency in these calls (or is just retribution from the refs).

I wonder if anything will be said on the non red card for Jacob Farrell on Antonsson?
So it was studs up… dangerous… reckless… and injured Antonsson.
What’s VARs excuse now? What’s everyone going to say about it? I don’t blame Rudan/Lederer after another blunder.
Marketing department doesn’t need to do anything. SFC fans will be licking their lips and go the the derby knowing how easy other teams are getting it against WSW and WSW fans will rock up as usual to see them fail. There will be another blunder/controversy and nothing will be done.

I’m over it too. But I’m over Arnie. I’ve never rated Arnie as our national coach. He seems to just sneak into tournaments and finals. He’s always struggled to qualify against lesser opposition. He uses A-League as an excuse but let’s be honest about his coaching, it’s terrible, rigid and one dimensional. The worst thing is, he somehow wins 2 world cup games and everyone thinks he’s a genius. The only thing that won us those games were that our players love having their backs against the wall and played out of their skin. It helps Denmark played below par and Tunisia not capitalising on more possession and shots then us. We just sat back and hit them on the counter.
Our supposed better players leave our shores, so he should have the best to pick from so pick those players.
I think he’s upset because when picking A-League players he is biased to current and former Central Coast Mariner and Sydney FC players and both teams were in bad form leading to the Asia Cup.
We definitely not making it past the QF the way we’re playing.
