when u start criticising someones writing and accuse them of ‘link-baiting’, then yes i do find that a bit hateful. happy to hear your comments and opinions on the articles contents, but dont make it personal by attacking the author
Australian sports fans: do you care about your team right now?
i think a lot depends on the club rather than the player. teams such as melbourne storm, brisbane broncos, collingwood etc. are great at keeping players that are loyal to their club. think it comes with a club’s success both on and off the field.
Club loyalty has always been a myth
cant see hughes getting a start, cowan has done nothing wrong and id say he will get first crack at opening. personally i feel warner is closer to being dropped – a few misses and not many hits, and all of a sudden the media will be on his back and saying he is only a t20 slogger
Australia's batting lineup for first Test
i think he might be trying to write an article for the same reason we all write articles – we have something to say and want to see what other people think about it.
criticising someone for the opinion isnt helpful in any way
Australian sports fans: do you care about your team right now?
andrew – i thought it was a pretty good article, don’t let the haters get to you. at least you are writing articles and promoting discussion, not just criticising. as i have also found by writing articles, anything to do with rugby union will elicit some very strong responses, not all of whic are helpful.
but yeh i also found the game a bit boring, think i am just too used to rugby league where they try and score tries
Australian sports fans: do you care about your team right now?
cant help but think that mundine was still the better fighter in his prime, despite their differing career paths. in saying that hes a bit past it as his recent results have shown and i hope geale shows his proud indigenous heritage and comes out swinging
The end and end of Anthony Mundine
the whole lance armstrong fiasco puts a bit of a dampener on all american sports doesn’t it? when the chinese swim girls were doping it was a very common joke that all chinese must be on some kind of performance enhancing drugs, and the same with east germany in the 70s. when do we get to start making these jokes about americans?
seems like a lot of their individual sportspeople have taken this path – Armstrong, Marion Jones, Justin Gatlin spring to mind. Not to mention the Major League Baseball scandal that means a generation of players have their reputations tarnished.
cant wait for the year 2020; headlines “Phelps admits steriod use” or “Woods – we thought he was promiscuous, not a cheat”
Lance Armstrong: The needle and the damage done
also love the choice of photo for the article haha
Queensland's Origin demise begins now
i agree with a lot of the points you have made, but as a queenslander i still think we will win next year. seems like games of league are won these days by forwards winning the battle and the spine of the team. if the qld forwards can match the nsw forwards i still think our spine of smith, jt, cronk and slater will win it for us.
in saying that its my opinion that inglis should be playing fullback for qld next year, but dont think itll happen
Queensland's Origin demise begins now
neither stewart in the team? i still think brett stewart is the best fullback in nsw, but its a damn good looking team.
Queensland's Origin demise begins now
i thought pearce was roosters best player towards end of the season, definitely stepped up after the origin series. id keep him and give the two reynolds another year to prove themselves. plus combination with carney is important
Queensland's Origin demise begins now
agreed about shillo, sheens seems to love him. id rather hannant or gal playing prop again
Queensland's Origin demise begins now
but thurston and smith are still they players they are
Queensland's Origin demise begins now
i agree, plus des knows how to get the best out of hodkinson. he was just unlucky with injuries and a lack of confidence this season
Making sense of the NRL's transfer silly season
to tell the truth i didn’t realise the talent pool was so small for transfers this season! as a broncos fan i don’t think we need maurice blair or any centres, yow yeh is being groomed to take over from hodges and dale copley is a better centre than winger, just need those guys to gain a bit more experience.
would love for us to sign david stagg tho. a broncos junior – they all love coming back to the club in the end. plus he can provide some starch in the middle third to aid our young props and take come of the tackling pressure off parker and mccullough
Making sense of the NRL's transfer silly season
sheek – make some great points and i definitely agree that he is the best flanker of all time, but in my opinion he is just shaded by dan carter
Is Richie McCaw the greatest rugby player ever?
might seem more like comedy if you didn’t tell us u were man u fan. u go on to bag liverpool and rodgers, trying to compare rodgers to fergie but it just makes it seem like u hate liverpool

scott how come you keep mentioning the market for this game? i understand that its a great way of determining favourites but since when are sporting events decided by betting prices?
Oh that's right, there's a Test match on!
changed tack pretty quickly on no kiwis making the team
Oh that's right, there's a Test match on!
im not having a go at all, but im interested in the retention rates of those 6 teams when the players enter high school. from my experiences junior club rugby is great, but once high school comes around the club comp seems to miss out

might be a while until you get back what is ‘rightfully’ the Storms.
