Exactly. Three tries to two. The whole post game analysis and reporting would be different if that LC conversion hadn’t bounced off the upright (or Lynagh hadn’t missed a sitter). Jordan P had an absolute cracker .. long range runs, brutal defence, always a threat …but isn’t even getting mentioned. Lynagh fired big time in general play while on park. Peni Ravai was both brutal AND skilful. Ryan Smith typically workaholic. Great intensity from both sides. Brums deserve credit for holding on and had plenty of standouts as well apart from turbo Tom Wright.. Really like the look of Tamati Tua. In your face defender. Not on board with the other critics of Creighton. Good player. One kicking mistake doesn’t;t change that.

'It was brutal': Clutch Lolesio kicks Brumbies to 'Test match intensity' win over Reds as Wright shines again

Thanks. Appreciated. Yes, I am in various PNG-related facebook groups.. and travel to PNG every year (except for 2020).

Yes, I just found out that Rob Heming’s father used to manage our family plantation near kokomo before moving to New Ireland. The father was excited by the Japanese in WW2.

Another Wallaby to be born in PNG (Port Moresby) is my old mate Tony Darcy.

I wrote a previous Roar article on Mac Ramsay.

Thanks Sheek. Actually read Lucky 29 and really enjoyed all the details and the pen portraits. On another forum somewhere, I found old comments by Mac’s niece and nephew (for the 70th anniversary) and have tried to contact them. Someone else on the forum was researching the 1938 Wallabies and said about six were killed in the war. Some powerful and sad back stories there methinks. Cheers

Cheers Chinmay. Yes, it’s a tough one. Imagine the families’ torment just not knowing for years. Then even doubt about it all as someone lost the nominal roll for decades.
