Nice steveng. Was Seibold dumb when he took a majorly underperfoming Bunnies from outside the 8 to a top 4 finish? It’s amazing how quickly people change opinions to suit their argument. Would you feel different if Seibs went to another club or just that he went to Brisbane? There has been less said about Cleary Jumping off the Bus than the Souths? Brisbane swap. As for Kodi (that is the correct spelling) I think he has not been able to really shine consistently at the Broncos, and for his sake, if he does go to the Warriors I hope he goes well.

Kodi Nikorima pulled from Brisbane NRL team with Tom Dearden to debut

If Morgan plays in the halves, who covers Inglis’ vacant centre spot?

Daly Cherry-Evans in race to be fit for Origin

Very close to the mark Isaac. Dufty’s try really did get the heart racing and I am far from a Dragons fan. The interchange rule as it stands is making it almost impossible for the smaller/nippier players of the past to re-emerge. With half the team ( Forward Pack ) playing half a game there is rarely the opportunity for breaks to be made through the middle. This is made worse when you have defences hanging on and wrestling that long to ensure the line is set. Personally, I would like the Interchange to be reduced to 4, 2 in each half. Some may say that is too far, I can live with that, but I think the end result would be a far more open game. As for the skill levels of the modern player being better than previous generations I am not so sure. Players today are far and away better athletes but most seem to be held back for fear of making errors. modern Coaches would have heart attacks watching guys like Alfie Langer and Phil Blake short kicking and lobbing a chip and chase in their own half. It didn’t always work, but it kept things interesting as opposed to the standard sets of today. Let’s hope when the Powers that Be next get together they look at the interchange and try to get that fatigue element back into the game

For 28 minutes on Anzac Day rugby league was great again

Of course Smith and Warner will make their voices heard, and so they should. Whoever is captain would be a fool not to ask for and listen to suggestions these guys might make. The issue is not about the on field responsibilities , but more the off field. Smith and Warner made a major error in judgement and Leadership and that is why I believe they should not be considered for Captaincy for some time. Whether you agree with the original punishment, and I’ll admit I do, to change the conditions of the ban now would send the wrong message. CA made a strong statement that we as a sporting nation hold our stars up to a higher standard. Perhaps if other countries or preferably the ICB had have shown the same standards we would not have reached this point. Taking away the financial benefit of captaining the national side, there is also the Public Prestige that these positions hold. Smith and Warner need to show that they can once again display the qualities that we as Australians expect from our sporting leaders

Did CA go a step too far with their leadership bans?

The Roosters were clunky in attack last year, and look how they finished. I am not saying the Broncos are anywhere near that class, but that there have been major changes at Red Hill and will take time to jell. My biggest concern is not the attack but that the defence switches off at critical times. No team should have allowed the try the Tigers scored to clinch the game. There seems to be panic in the defensive line or players rushing out to make the big hit. Compare that to Melbourne or the Roosters who hold a straight line in defence better than any sides I can remember. Defence is about trust and discipline and both these appear to be lacking at the moment

The Broncos' spine is broken

Like the look of the backline, but not sold on the forwards. The young guys are going ok in fits and starts, but need a bit more leadership. This is where Alex Glenn and to a lesser extent Matt Lodge need to step up. Nikorima would be great 14 and could have real impact

The Broncos' spine is broken

Why is it described as a crackdown? Isn’t it just refereeing to the rules? All and sundry carry on as if the world is coming to an end if referees blow penalties. They’re destroying the game, they cry. Let it flow they scream. All the time blaming the referees. Not for a second am I saying that the referees are doing a fantastic job, but it is not all their fault. if players do the right thing they don’t get penalised. SIMPLE. The fact that the Sin Bin is all but a distant memory has basically given teams a free reign to do as they please. If I had a dollar for every penalty given away by teams defending 10m from the tryline I would be a rich man. Every team does it because they know there is no real consequence. Consistently Sin Bin players for this blight on the game, and it would soon stop. Don’t use that ridiculous argument that Sin Binning a player has too big an influence on the game. Plenty of teams have won when down to 12 men and if you want to keep your full compliment on the field DON’T CHEAT.

LISTEN: It's time for another penalty crackdown in the NRL

Broncos have got the toughest draw to start the year of any team. Not just my opinion but that of FOX Sport as well. Having said that, they were ordinary last week. Whether it was a poor performance as a result of inexperience, or the standard of the side will be determined in the coming weeks. For whatever reason Brisbane struggle against the Dragons no matter what positions on the table they hold. Conversely, they generally seem to have the Roosters measure. I don’t expect them to topple the Premiers on Thursday, but it wouldn’t surprise. On Siebold, I am a big fan and have been since his first appearance on NRL360 last year. I think he will have the Broncos travelling well by finals time ( providing they get there) and will have real shot in 2020

Another tough task awaits the Broncos against the Roosters

Broncos rejects!!! Current Kangaroo and a KIWI international. I am sure there are few clubs that would take more of those rejects

Big off-season decisions already haunting the Panthers and Warriors

Great LONNNGG conversation, but truly a waste of time. Cheika won’t or can’t change. Wallabies insist on picking ATHLETES instead of FOOTBALLERS. Players who are as subtle as a sledgehammer won’t get the job done anymore. Power is great, but there is so much more to rugby. Sure Cooper is likely to make mistakes, however he is also capable of creating opportunities for the outside backs. Foley has as much flair as a pair of 70’s pants and is about as stylish. Time for a rethink and get a more attacking game plan.

Will Michael Cheika accept Scott Johnson's 'skilful' Wallabies plan?

Until Women’s sport can generate an equal income pay equality can never fully happen. Sport is now 2 things Entertainment and Business, and for better or worse that is how they are run. Entertainers are paid what their popularity dictates the same as sportspeople. Not too many people seem to mind that Julia Roberts is paid more than her male co stars, but carry on like PORK CHOPS if Female athletes aren’t on equal pay. Why does the Female Winner of a Grand Slam tennis tournament get paid the same as the Male champ and play only 3 set matches? Is this equality? It is great that Women’s sport is getting more Media exposure, as well as generating interest and more importantly income, so that in the future Athletes are able to earn higher wages.

About time we spoke about equal pay for elite female athletes
