Eddie has suffered from foot in mouth disease for quite awhile and yesterday for me made his position untenable. If he was really fair dinkum, he should have said sorry at the beginning of the presser to everyone ( starting with Heritier ) at the Club that ever felt slighted purely because of the colour of their skin. Our Side by Side mantra at the moment is just words and our jumper has black and stripes on it together, I wish we could show everyone that that is what we stand for.

Eddie McGuire's trainwreck of a spin job only reinforces damning Collingwood report

Good on the Australian Prime Minister for defending Australia Day , I wouldn’t have expected anything less ! Cricket Australia is doing nothing but dividing the Australian community with its virtue signalling. What CA should be more focused on is finding the hidden indigenous talent that may be out there and fostering them through grassroots levels. It offends me greatly when I hear the term Invasion Day and yes, believe it or not both sides have the ability to be offended, not just one side. I’m very disappointed that our summer national sport body seeks to divide us with this kind of woke thought process and I don’t believe that is their job.

CA won't mention Australia Day to promote BBL games, and the Prime Minister has had a big whinge about it

I watched every ball and 4 days live in Melbourne of the Test Series and I believe a lot of the time we ventured too far away from the simple fundamentals of Test Match cricket. If you win the toss and bat your openers should see the new ball and bowlers off ( runs are irrelevant for the first hour ) leave as much as possible and punish the bad ball. We are not putting a higher enough price on our wickets, which I find surprising from a Justin Langer coached team. So many rash, stupid shots at the completely wrong time of a match I saw over and over again by everyone in the top 6 that cost us dearly. Full credit to India, they played magnificently and after Adelaide, won every key moment for the rest of the series. Our field placing have been meek, the last day was appalling, not backing up the bowlers with a full slips cordon, all around the bat etc. It frustrates me no end when we bowl beautiful line and length to the top order to only completely abandon it for the tail and leak back end runs !! I think a hell of a lot of our woes can be fixed quite quickly if we just go back to the basics and the 1%’ers because we have to get it right for the Ashes. I don’t want to go to Boxing Day seeing the same mistakes being made.

No changing of the guard, but hard selection calls required for Australia

Their is no way they can drop either of those pair I hope, 62 on debut says Pucovski has got it, he just needs more time to mature. As for Green I’m loving what I’m seeing at the moment, I like his batting and bowling and he is starting to make gully his own. His selfless act when he knew he was plumb was gold. Our future looks very bright indeed and I believe if they are given a decent crack at it, we will benefit immensely.

Don't dare drop them – Cameron Green and Will Pucovski deserve long Test stints

I love Bucks and I want him to succeed and have that premiership winning coach on his CV. When we bring our manic, frothing at the mouth intensity at the footy, we win games but we don’t do it consistently enough. I think at times our stamina is not where it should be during games, great teams go harder in the last couple of minutes of each quarter and hit the scoreboard hard. I think we have a good list with Pendles, Steele and Taylor in the middle with a more happier Grundy leading the way, I’m glass half full. Add to that Moore, Mihocek, DeGoey and the kids of Quaynor, Daicos’, Sier etc, I think our future can be bright. We definitely need a game plan that the boys can buy into and stick to it, also the great man needs to be a bit harder at training I reckon, Go Pies !!!

What is Nathan Buckley's pass mark in 2021?

Excellent news and let’s hope Mr. Twilight keeps the Grandy in the afternoon where it belongs !!
