Im a 2nd generation croatian who was a massive sydney croatia (united) fan. Im also now a sydney fc fan and i luv the a league. Bringing back the old nsl clubs would be a big mistake. The fans are dropping year by year in the state leagues for the old nsl teams. the italian, greek and croatians communities just aren’t what they used to be. expecting these clubs to go back to the hayday of the 70’s and 80’s is just a joke. expecting them to merge is an even bigger 1. I know from experience that the suggestion of such a thing would have the sydney croatia fans boycotting matches. they would much rather stay in there state leagues and keep there identity. What the FFA should do is help these old clubs financially and allow them to do what they did best and nurture young talent. when the ethnics clubs were kicked out most of the great coaches and true football people went with them. we need to find a way to get those people involved in the game we all love.
A new view on a Second Division in the A-league
Skoko and Viduka’s families are holidaying together in croatia at the moment. Skoko was asked by a leading football reporter what he thought about marks future. he indicated that mark was actually contemplating immediate retirement. if he does play on it will most probably be to finish off at the WC. Dinamo Zagreb are tableing a massive offer for him at the moment. I dont think we will see viduka in the HAL ever. It would be a shame if he wasnt to return. but i wouldnt blame him.

For NQF it all comes down to who they get to replace felipe and if Robbie (GOD) Fowler can stay fit. Fowler will have to be clinical in front of goal for the fury to have any chance of producing wins.

Working around the short A-League season
Im fed up with the spoiled brats of australian football. If you ask me cahill was asking for trouble drinking in a nightclub acouple of days out from a WCQ. If this so called incident had happend during the premier league season in england every paper in england would have ran with the story. Not to mention the television and radio media. Cahill should count his lucky stars that the situation isnt worse. Whats true and what isnt i dont really care. The bouncer has come out and said it was all covered up. but i dont care. The FFA should look at the fact that they allowed players to go out drinking in a nightclub just days out from a WCQ. For me that is the biggest mistake anyone has made. The blame should be put entirely on the FFA.
FFA should sanction Cahill for belittling McLaughlin
Wouldnt it be a perfect world if we could have both bozza and spider playing in the A league. I just dont see it happening. I don’t even see the V bomber ever playing in the HAL. Sad to say it. I hope im proved wrong. I think Kalac would be a fine addition to the HAL. He would at least generate some publicity because there are alot of people out there ready to knock him down 1st chance they get.
