Didn’t get the love…. oh petal

'I have the same feeling': Tah claims he's quit crisis club because he didn't get enough 'love'

And that’s how nicknames happen

Super Rugby teams round 14: Tahs' crazy prop jinx continues, eight changes for Reds, Gordon ruled out

Kiss has to take away whatever positives he can from that ugly loss. As I said previously he opted for squad rests instead of playing the last three games at full strength, mathematically can still make the top 4 but looks like an away quarter. Apart from some guys getting a rest, about the only positive I can see is not having to pick Vinivalue for the rest of the year.

Reds denied a losing bonus point by Drua in Fiji as Suli Vunivalu is sent off for tripping

He shines out like a stream of bats p ss

COMMENT: Bizarre selection call that sums up chaos and disconnect at Super Rugby's biggest basket case

Three wins and they just could make the finals. Then three more and it’ll be 10 years to the day.

Hmmm, I thought the should have played their best team for the remaining three games, they need to win all three if they are any chance of scraping a home quarter. This looks like a team where kiss believes they’ll stay fifth so give some guys a rest and get them all good for the trip to Hamilton

Super Rugby teams round 13: Frost to No.6, Noah back for Brumbies, Aubrey starts for Reds, Pone in for Rebels

Campbell’s defensive frailties, that old chestnut. I doubt the two times Kellaway was simply swerved around without getting the slightest touch on two try scorers last weekend even rate as missed tackles. But Campbell’s defensive frailties blah blah blah

Kells, Wright, Donno, Jock or Kurtley? What Joe Schmidt's past tells us about the Wallaby fullback sweepstakes

12 weeks between end of super and end of rugby championship, must be room there for the 5 super teams to play home and away and a couple of finals in a third tier comp. RA just need to fund it….ha ha ha ha

Another way to fix Australian rugby: Why not just let our players go to Europe part-time?

BOOM, never looked at it that way, give him a gold guernsey then

The Wrap: Spare a thought for injured players as Super Rugby’s two rutting rhinos deliver an epic final preview

Another good advantage played by the ref was when the Reds grubbered thru under advantage and even though the rebels secured the ball he let it play out and indeed the Reds pressured the Rebels to lose the ball in the ensuing ruck(us) and carry the ball back. Then he brought it back for the penalty

Not when Nawaqanitawase takes a high ball.

That even removes from stored memory the other high ball he dropped in the first half and the kick he shanked to the fifteenth row on the full.

Another week where not a single NZ team beat an Aus team. And next week, if Reds beat Drua, if Force beat RAtahs at home, the Force will have gone from wooden spoon favourite to top 8 team in just two weeks!!

Still, it was certainly a fine weekend of rugby again. With my Reds squeezing their inconsistent season form, that pushes top teams and loses to bottom teams, into the same game but still making it a good weekend for me. The game in Auckland that kicked off a fine but rainy Saturday, followed by Sydney that reminded me of games played in RakiRaki, then Perth where I don’t think it rains.

So Geoff, no room in the Wrap to rap on the Beaumont Rag in respect to scrums. The 30 second clock and the free kick option. According to planet rugby it’s the death of rugby as we know it. Of the 4 games I watched in their entirety there was 49 scrums, that’s 12 a game. There was 8 free kicks, 4 of which opted to scrums. So the new free kick law would rid us of about 1 scrum per game. I found that these 49 scrums averaged about 40 seconds from the ref setting the mark to calling set. So Bills rules will save 40 seconds for that free kick scrum that doesn’t happen and 110 seconds from the 11 that do, for a total extra ball in play of 2 and a half minutes. Which would probably only lead to the RAtahs knocking on one more time anyway. So nuthing really changes

Best regards, Mirtle

Well Ryan is on the way out now. His game is trending down. First game three tries, second game two tries, and now this latest effort where he was only able to muster a single try. 3 2 1 , next game should put him in the past heroes group and all talk of higher honours will disappear

It’s not the scrum that “Aussies” dislike, it’s the comparative time and importance compared to 20-30 years ago that scrummaging has gained. “Running rugby” and all that palaver Boyo, the entire dynamic around the scrum has changed. And may I remind you old Billy Beaumont isn’t an Aussie.

A step too far I think. But I’d much rather being playing 4v5 quarter final in Bris than in Hamilton. It may come down to boner points that each team get in the last 3 games

Well whodis, you should go watch the first thirty, it’ll really put the ugly in perspective. It was the old game of two halves, the first 33min then the last 47min. You saw reds good half

Is a crooked lineout throw a short arm, or a scrum offence like a knock on?
