I don’t know why the FFA don’t give away a free Socceroos match ticket with every big Mac, just like the AFL do.

FFA should re-think its marketing of the Socceroos

Bill, you are a bloomin genius.
Well done son.

Nice article:

FFA should re-think its marketing of the Socceroos

Last time we played the Saudis in a WCQ on home soil was in 2012.
The crowd was 24K and it was in Melbourne.

We need to come third in the group to get some more interest and 4 more WC knockout games.

The FFA have never advertised a game, unlike the McDonalds of Australian Sport who have more money to throw away than Donald Trump.

FFA should re-think its marketing of the Socceroos

I’ve been watching the Footballroos for over 40 years and fondly remember the 1974 heroes of Germany. They were the best of the lot.

This is the worst national mens football team I have ever seen in my 40 years of following them. They are playing some very ordinary football, give away possession too easily and are disjointed, disinterested and disgraceful.

Sorry, but I wouldn’t pay money to watch them live, the way they are playing right now.
As someone else said, I only follow them now out of respect for the jersey and the tradition. Not the way they are playing.

I’m not sure what new tactics and formation Ange is trying out but to me its craaap.

I never go to those big circus games like Liverpool, Brazil or Argentina either, because they are a rip off and are meaningless.

Right now it might do the Footballroos and the FFA some good if they came third in their group and had to really work hard and earn a spot at Russia, not take it for granted with that lousy brand of football they are playing right now.

FFA should re-think its marketing of the Socceroos

This is the worst Socceroos team I have ever seen and I have been watching them for a long time, since I was a kid.

Fumbling, bumbling, can’t pass, can’t keep possession, can’t shoot, absolutely painful to watch.

I don’t care the result its an absolute embarrassment to watch. Not sure what Mr Postecoglou is up to but its not working.

No wonder we are the also rans in this group and in trouble of not qualifying for the next world cup.

Absolutely dreadful schoolboy football.

Which is the number one participation sport in Australia?

More people around the world watch the A-Leagueb grand final than the AFL grand final.

Despite all the huge promotion and media saturation the NRL is getting poor attendances.

Don’t believe everything the self interested media tells you about Fake Football.

Is football part of our national sporting culture?

You guys are amazing.
You keep on saying how bad the A-League is and you keep on turning up to watch it.

If the A-League is so bad, why do you keep watching it.

Are youse weerdoes for real?

Isn’t your game played all around the world.
What’s the point of having a “National game” with no national team?

The most played team sport in Australia is Australian football and we have a national team that represents us in international competitions all over the world in youth, mens, womens and seniors.

Wet-weather win in the west ends a Giant drought

Fake football is not our national sport.
What other nations do we play against?

How did youse Wanderers not win that game.

Something wrong there.

Man, who are these weerdoes who kept coming on this site and telling us the attendances.

Great game, great football on a miserable, wet, cold night in Sydney.

Hey weerdoes, do you know what the attendance was at the opening game of the NRL season when the Premiers played the winners of a couple of seasons ago.

Let me give you a clue, it wasn’t nearly as much as those who braved Allianz stadium, myself included, in such miserable weather to watch Sydney FC.

Hey weerdoes, are youse for real?

Super Sydney shine through the rain as the Victory dissolve

Yeah I’ve really enjoyed the Sydney FC v Melb City games this year and put City ahead of Victory when they play at their best. Trouble is they aren’t consistent enough and they lack discipline when under extreme pressure. No need for the trip and penalty or the free kick just outside the area.

Valkanis is not the right fit for this team, they need to hire a manager with an ego bigger than the players under him.

City undone by Muscat's foolishness as Sydney roll on

Are you referring to Kevin Muscat?

Looking forward to the second Melbourne team choking and handing the 2017 A-League Premiers Plate to Sydney on a plate . . .

City undone by Muscat's foolishness as Sydney roll on

Brilliante response from Sydney FC after the disappointment of last week.
Brisbane Roar lost 5 in a row after their unbeaten run was broken, so it was going to show us how good they really are.
They are taking this season’s A-League title with one hand on the trophy already.

Shame about Melbourne City though, they need a very competitive second team in that city to create some genuine rivalry as does every major city, but it looks like a Syd FC v Victory grand final in Sydney now..

I’m surprised you haven’t told us the attendance yet and then compared it to the women’s fake football league crowd who got in for Nix.

What a great win by Sydney FC.
3 superb goals.

Who can stop us now.

Bring on the Derby next week.

Why was the women’s fake football free.
Wasn’t anyone going to turn up to watch it?

Its a professional league no, so who’s paying for it – the Fake Football punters.

Brisbane's attack: Couldn't find a way past Sydney, and set for upheaval

Even Mister Fake Football would have to agree that Sydney FC are sitting in the box seat right now.

Touching story about Danny Vukovic and his son, show’s what’s really important in life.
Amazing effort from Danny when you put it all in context.

Hope the operation proves to be a great success and he lives a long and happy life with the rest of his family.

Sometimes the classic approach works better than the new fangled way, especially when everyone is trying to do the same thing, but sometimes badly.

Having said that, I thought we played too many long balls against the Wanderers in the Allianz derby but hey, we got away with a point and avoided defeat.

SFC are playing to their strengths and while its understandable that losing fans who can’t beat Sydney FC will think its not that exciting to watch and lose.
From a winning fans perspective its fabulous, especially when you come from behind to win.

The longer the unbeaten run goes on, the more interested we are.

Sydney FC won't lose again this season

If you’re from MeIbourne, its hard to accept defeat gracefully sometimes.

The match I saw last night, Thomas made a few “world class saves” of his own.

Bit harsh to say Sydney FC play a very boring game lacking invention and creativity. If they did they wouldn’t be scoring any goals.

As a SFC fan, I get excited every time they run on the field.

When you have a tense evenly matched game there will always be the chance of a draw or a single goal to decide the outcome.

I thought it was a very good game with a lot to appreciate, including “the world class saves” and the world class goals.

Sydney FC won't lose again this season

Wanderers were unlucky not to win the Sydney derby last week.

Look for a big run to the finals by Wanderers.
Imagine a sell out all Sydney Grand Final at Olympic Stadium.

Yes brave decision, could have been just a yellow to some.

No need for that tackle though, Brosque and Ibini well covered that time.

The race for second spot hotting up now and Roar and City need to take full advantage of Victory dropping 9 points in 3 games.
