The weather is mostly pretty good down here and strength of of the kiwis is still a drawcard whilst it lasts

'I have the same feeling': Tah claims he's quit crisis club because he didn't get enough 'love'

Fair bit different to dropping all the down to amateurs.

Build a real comp not a feeder to tests. Lotta players will come down for the experience. Like the NPC on steroids plus the Aussie with maybe 3 oz teams and 4 kiwis in a cup type comp with 2 or 3 Japanese teams. The SR model is simply dead now. It can’t and doesn’t work anymore. You do it right there’s a ton of Eastern Europeans who’d come down and instead of going to France. Lotta young Japanese. Guys from honkers and Malaysia. Twiggy almost had it right but you want the players not the travel. Malaysian super star playing for the western force. Medrano is good but not top level. Faaarrrk we had Montoya signed and the govt wouldn’t give his wife a visa!!!!! Twiggy coulda fixed that but the publicity wasn’t on his radar at the time.

Or more teams and import players. Theres enough talent in world rugby to have a good SR comp. In the beginning we didn’t need or want the imports but it’s a different world now. So many good Oz nz and saffers playing outside of SR. SR as it started is long dead. The problem is that RA etc don’t realise that. If the quality of play is there they could play in the moon and sell tv rights. We keep pretending we’ve got both the depth and the top play and we don’t.

Don’t know him but if he wants a pro career and at 23 isn’t a tah regular he can’t play Shute shield. He has to head north where he has a shot at playing elite rugby.

I liked bathers too and me and some German tourists were probly why they put in change cubicles but when I was last at uni I was living alone working part time and smoking and drinking. The budget was stretched. Haven’t smoked anything for a long time and just as well.

Beale keen to extend Force stay and 'absolutely' gunning for Wallabies return

When I was a bum uni student living in Mosman park I’d pack a picnic lunch buy a 6 pack from the OBH drive through bottle shop and hit the beach. Best restaurant in town

I’m frequently amazed how I can get a seat on the balcony at the Cott pub watching the sun set over the ocean.
Cott were the enemy but for mine the best place in Perth to watch rugby. Neddies is pretty but Cott is a one stubby walk from a major train station.

Kurtley always had a problem with his “extended “ family dragging him down. Really hard to be an indigenous star in Sydney. When his mentor died he lost his rock/shield/protection. Perth a good place for him.
Don’t know the guy but heard the above from one of his sympathetic rep rugby peers. He had to get far out of Sydney

Yeah mate. I’m in WA. The things I saw teenage Joc do in super rugby playing against some of the very best no shirt he lost his mind. Supreme talent and toughness to do it as a small teenager. Jorgo has shown nothing like it.

Haven’t seen the game but my general impression of islander teams is that they seem more lineout. That has been changing over the 20 years or so. They are getting some taller locks.

Brumbies end 15-year drought against Crusaders as 80th minute penalty try seals remarkable finish

Kuenzle was playing 12 before to help pasitoa out.

Force kill off Waratahs' final hopes once and for all as Donno comes back to haunt old side

And if I was Fiji I’d be going all out to get seru coz Fiji need his lineout ability and for them anything else is a bonus

Not really. It would be fun to play in Japan or Europe. The travel burden mostly better too.
John Welbourne said he loved France. Tough stuff on the field and a glass of red with lunch.

Haven’t noticed his pace

Sure moneys good but there’s also fun. Money and fun is good too

Geoff, twiggy could fund that orange schools program Australia wide. He actually doesn’t like spending his own money but for the sake of tax deductible 2 to 3 million per year to be the god father of Oz rugby it could be sold to him. Better marketing and less outlay than the 50 million he was talking about before. You should get your mate onto him. Twiggy would love to be a big man with Victorian kids

The Wrap: Spare a thought for injured players as Super Rugby’s two rutting rhinos deliver an epic final preview

Good thing about cheika is that he’s independently wealthy. He doesn’t actually need the money. Maybe get him to agree that half his salary goes to a schools program?
That orange guy in Melbourne really needs to talk to twiggy coz that sort of program would really speak to twiggy sense of being seen to contribute to the community. And cost him nothing. I reckon you could sell him on funding it Perth Melbourne Adelaide and Darwin. Total annual cost less than 2 million. But problem kids getting educated etc.

It looks to me like playing rugby in Japan is a lot more fun than playing super rugby. And it pays better. Money is important since pro careers are short but you should not discount the value of fun.

LSL went north and was mentored by Lawes. What serious lock 6 would not want that!
Noah was mentored by AW jones!

You don’t get much of in super rugby anymore.
Andy Friend is the guy who could do a Le’s kiss. He’s learned how to coach.

If Joc could pump up to 100kgs and play 12 then surely edmed could. He’s got a lot of 12 about him and at 100kgs would not be smaller than his dad’s playing weight

Out of the stadium is 6 and out surely?

The true inventor of Bazball was born 150 years ago, and his records are still utterly bonkers

If the club comp is Saturday then super Sunday arvo not Saturday night. Afternoon games are fun

Player meet-and-greets and truckloads of Gilberts: It's time RA started looking at grassroots growth as an investment instead of an expense

Mcreight does seem to have a good head on his shoulders though and he’s a Michael hooper type in stats.
Do you go an interim captain with the rwc captain as vc? Maybe. If AAA was captain he’d be subbed off letting the 80 minute player step up. Would also give Rodda time to show durability

Scooter is an 80 minute player and guaranteed to start. Best nz lock and hard to see him drop back to 3rd best any time soon
