I was born in Auckland in 1950. Uncle Bob stopped sending me the All Blacks Book for Boys when we moved to Sydney in ‘58. Playing Hooker with the UNSW Reserve Grade side I made our touring team to NZ in 1973, and Uncle Bob wrote about it in the Levin Chronicle—"Prodigal Son Returns."

Brendan. No it’s not if you have monthly accounts. I’ve been in that situation. You better know if you’re a director.

The Wrap: Rugby Australia gaslights Rebels staff and why ‘I Can’t Go For That’

I’m surprised Jacko but surely Razor isn’t going to stack the ABs with ageing Crusaders? Or is he going to quietly help half-Penney to rescue them in SR.

Welcome back Cotter. Goodbye Rob Half-Penney.

I once worked for a big accounting firm. I was selected in a team to do due diligence on a new client with a reputation for liquidation when the going got tough leaving the shareholders and suppliers holding the baby. On the way to the first meeting the partner said that the first thing to find out was were they up to date with their GST, PAYG and Super Guarantee. That will tell us a lot. 👎 😁 😱 They hadn’t paid the ATO for 2 years. They were a large car dealer. We then asked for 3 months fees in advance and never heard back.

They have a good coaching team IMHO kingy.

It’s like having an AFL team in Sydney 😁 the key is you have to be a winner.

The Crusaders could yet deliver a miracle but they have to beat the Highlanders, that will be a great local derby.

Strangely the Brumbies are looking vulnerable if they are running at a loss.

Reds snap 25-year drought in Christchurch to beat Crusaders as Wilson, Ryan star

Jeff Wilson went very quiet in the final 10 minutes. I didn’t mind not hearing anymore from him but would have. liked hearing some post-match denials by the Kiwis.

I had to scroll a long way down to find a fan with a keyboard 😁 😱 When you get a ref to actually penalise our Anzac brothers for purposeful breaches inside their 22 it’s becomes a more level playing field, and look what happens.

RA is only interested in NRL saviours who have turned out to be duds like Vunivalu and the high school kids like Jorgo and Suaali. Very poor talent management.

Exclusive: Wallabies star weighing up big move to England

Right now it’s both isn’t it BB. What happens on the field is also in the boardroom 🥊 😱

The Wrap: Rebels young gun rockets out of Wallabies contention, and why Samipeni Finau's 'brutal' hit on Edmed was fair game

In my day there was CHS vs GPS and as soon as we public school ruffians started winning the GPS took their ball and went home.

Thanks Geoff, good wrap, interesting times. On and off the field. Great weekend of rugby and the Tahs women were exceptional. Suddenly we have a bit of passion, a villain, heart breaking loss etc. that’s what we want.

Stop whining. “These things tend to even out.” Well, I hope so. Let’s see what happens at the business end of the season. Chiefs vs Blues for example.

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

Great read Ben. I read a book about transition to retirement a few years ago. It recommended fantasy as something to limit.

If Australia is looking for big men, let's not neglect the old and the fat

Yeah, thanks, JD, for coming forward. Who chose these people to sort things out? They sound like Tony Abbott trying to take us back to the 1960’s. Good on Russ for sticking his neck out, but I sense things are being sorted out already, apart from the fact that Rugby itself is not a popular sport compared to AFL, NRL, Matildas or even Sevens Rugby.

'Definition of madness': Rugby reform must start with total cleanout of RA board - and this should happen next

He hasn’t been in Perth very long 😁

Five things: What Beale has over other golden oldies, double pain for Brumbies as Blues expose Australia's biggest weakness

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

All the home teams won 🏉 👍

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

I thought about this issue myself, Danny, regarding the Tahs. I experienced these issues quite a lot when I was a General Manager in a big bank. Something is going wrong with a big project or division. Do we sack the leader and save our own jobs? What if the new guy doesn’t work out? The best answer we came up with was to have a mediation session with up to 7 people working for the leader and the leader. It was confronting, but there were far fewer sackings and more success. It’s never just one person’s fault; sometimes, it reverberates upwards to the sponsor and funding which my boss wasn’t happy about at all.

He might be living a cleaner/sober life.

Beale, Rodda shine on Super Rugby return as Force smash Crusaders to keep finals hopes alive

The other issue is structural. We badly lack a national middle layer feeding into Super Rugby it seems to me.

Aussie-born England capped rake Nic Dolly signs with Force ... and he'll soon be eligible for the Wallabies

He will be able to try the night-life in Mt Lawley with Kurtley 😛 😱
