It might be good to see what Wright can do when the ball is feed from Lonergan to Gordon and then him. Those flat balls inside the 22m might open up better scoring chances.

Kells, Wright, Donno, Jock or Kurtley? What Joe Schmidt's past tells us about the Wallaby fullback sweepstakes

I wonder if Brad Thorn or Toutai Kefu are free?

Brumbies beat Waratahs in monsoonal conditions as injury toll goes from bad to worse

I’m on board with this TOTW. Yes those others came close.

Five things: Where DC got it wrong with Tahs, perception and reality for Wallabies hopeful as Test bolter shines

Hi Christy,
I think this is a decent TOTW and genuinely picked on form from the weekend.

This has to be a coaching issue. Was a fan of Mowen during his playing days. But very very worried with the lack of forward play. He’s not performing at Super Rugby level. Yes, the Brumbies lost Lord and Palmer last year, but surly they could have gone to market to get a decent forwards coach with proven history.

Same.
It’s not getting better – it’s getting worse. Their defence should have been all over the Tahs. Their contact zone was shocking. Maybe a call to the Lord for the next 3-5 weeks will assist, especially as the U20’s are done as of this afternoon. This was the game where they needed to earn a bonus point should they want to finish on the top 2.
I did think JD had a good game at 10. Such a big guy, he’s gotten better with age.
Apart from Ikitau I can’t see anyone from the Brumbies making the TOTW.

Depends who’s at 9

The five candidates for the Wallabies No.10 jersey - and the old heads who may sneak in to join them

I’m just saying this was a bad period results wise

Don’t agree with that and there are multiple stats floating around this site that agree with this.

Mate, the guy never got the chance to build on his game during the Dave Rennie period. He was in and out of the team like a yo-yo goes up and down.
Granted, he wasn’t in fabulous form for some of those wallaby games. But he did win us games against France. Or have you forgotten that just to boost your hatred of him???
Maybe 2024 will be a Lolesio and Carter combo. Start with Lolesio and give Carter the last 20.

Agreed. I think he’s underrated big time. I didn’t like him when he was at the rebels, but he went away and has improve out of sight.

Have you forgotten the 1996-1997 period with Greg Smith in charge?

Thank you.
I think this is great. It does give insight into your thoughts and I would hope you consider something like this with future TOTW.

It will me/others the chance to discuss and comment and even debate who we’d sub in if we had other opinions.

I genuinely appreciate the replies.

Five things: The Reds have flipped the script - and it promises to be rewarded at the Wallabies selection table

Even with Lord there, they missed the tackle zone. They just fell of tackles and went missing at the ruck.

Very wet behind the ears

Not saying he didn’t play well. He did for his standards.

Ok.

So can you enlighten us readers to how you’ve come to these selections. Might be an extra part to the article.
Whether it’s justification or not, some context to the why will help me understand how you’ve gotten there, and stop the shots, as I know I’m not the only one who is sometimes confused.
All in the name of constructive feedback.

I don’t think it was him. It was more the forward pack

I’m surprised you didn’t have a couple of the U20’s in the side. I mean that game really was men v boys. The aussies looked second rate throughout. Nathan Grey has a lot to answer for. Cannot understand how he holds onto that job.

The change in coaching setup isn’t helping the brumbies. Their forwards have been generally poor all season to date.

His flawless game is a standard subpar performance of Cater and Lolesio

Winning shouldn’t mean you’re in the TOTW. You could have played out of your skin, and on your terms you’re automatically out. Not fair. As others have pointed he’s starting from a very low bar and be mindful that he’s not a 10.
Luke Riemer in theory should be in the team on stats and minutes per game due to the impact and the fact that he single handedly won the game for the Brumbies. They were in a world of pain, and he changed the whole momentum of the game.

Once again Doran has his Reds cap on. While I agree with about 60% of TOTW. There’s some which raises eyebrows. Oh wait no they don’t cause they’ve got a Reds Jersey on. The selection of Creighton is 1.

Man you seriously need to stop the drugs that you’re on. The Brumbies are more than 50% local.

'Toughest decision': Wallaby's blunt admission over form as Force land Brumbies lock, teammate brought to tears

Ouch. This one hurts. Looks like the row in 2025 will be frost and Hooper. With Brown, Reimer and Valetini making up the backrow
