It would be interesting to see how this match stacks up with others since about 1990 as far as total Origin experience is concerned.

Good article Tim, however the FTA allocation doesn’t really effect the evenness of the draw, it only effects the sponsorship dollars at the end of the day.

Why don’t we do away with 2 markers and just have one. I’m too young to remember the days of contested rucks, but aren’t the markers simply a hangover from those days where the second marker was essentially a “reserve” dummy half in case the first marker won the contest? Getting rid of the second marker would either open up the space behind the ruck or cause defensive lines to compress and leave more space out wide.
Two long forgotten words in league
So plenty of excuses offered for the Broncos wins over the last month (Sharks worst game of the year, Dragons were sick, Cowboys are injury depleted), but none for the loss against the Eels (Mead up against Radradra, Broncos worst game of the season etc.)
I think the Eels loss was an anomaly and not really reflective of the Broncos defence with or without McCullough.
Tonight we will see two teams face each other that have scrapped their way to 2nd and 3rd without really impressing for large chunks of the year.
I don’t think anyone should be too surprised with a win from either team, rather than the consistent writing off of the Broncos we have seen from all and sundry.
