How can the Wallabies beat the All Blacks on Saturday?

Maybe so but it doesnt dominate the AB selection policy.

SPIRO: All Blacks selectors pay the ultimate respect to the Wallabies

Mitchell should be pleased – he doesn’t deserve to be there.

Mitchell to appreciate Wallabies comeback

Post,
Adrian’s (along with others on this site’s) job isn’t to be a journalist as much as it is to make excuses for the ARU’s utter incompetence. Once you accept that, you can see why they write the nonsense that they do.

Genia favours Barnes to stay at pivot

They were screwed over by the suspension of Cooper and the appointment of Kaplan. The Qld crowd knew it and stayed away. They’re not stupid.

Another record year for Super crowds

The Wallabies have better coaches???

Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Who is this? Deans’s brother?

SPIRO: All Blacks selectors pay the ultimate respect to the Wallabies

What the hell is “the ultimate respect team”?? The team the ABs have picked is simply the best available on form, unlike the Wallabies who seem to have been picked based on who’s a good widdle Waratah and who hasn’t ever questioned Deans’s cretinous game plans.

Don’t expect the same numbers at the Reds next year. Queenslanders are too proud to let themselves get screwed over by SANZAR powerbrokers. The ‘poor’ turnout for the QF is a reflection of that.

Another record year for Super crowds

Oh well, ignore that there are at least 3 other superior 13s in country in Andrew Smith, Nick Cummins, Ant F (who shouldn’t be at 12) and AAC, and just put him the side then!

This is my point: there is no doubt that Rob Horne or anyone in that side is a good player. That is not the question. The question is this: are they best player available for the job in that position? The answer in the case of Horne and about 7 other players in that side is ‘no’.

OMFG, are you serious? You are the master of non-sequiturs.

Firstly, Donald was not in the squad because he was about the 4th choice 10. The ABs had a backup 10 in Cruden. Secondly, the ABs had easy access to reserves when they needed them.

Thirdly, while it was a mistake to not bring a reserve openside, it was not rectified immediately when Palu went down injured. There was time to bring Hodgson or Robinson into the side. Instead, Deans in all his amazing wisdom played his favourite squeeze, McCalman, at 7 for the game against Ireland. After the tournament McCalman actually admitted that he hadn’t played at that position since high school and he “learned on the job”. brilliant. What a great time to “learn on the job” – against O’Brien, Leamy and Heaslip! Result? We all know the result and we also know that McCalman was completely ineffective at the breakdown with Ireland making twice as many turnovers. McCalman’s personal turnover contribution? Zero.

Never in my life have I witnessed such total incompetence from a test level coach. It’s not even a moot point. He should have been sacked for it, on the spot.

Brett,

Does Deans give you a biscuit every time you write a sycophantic article about him? Or do you do it for free?

ROBBIE DEANS (pt.2): No longevity for players distracted by money

“Robbie Deans simply hasn’t seen enough from Cooper to convince him he’s ready, even for a bench role.”

Which is why Drew Mitchell has a bench spot…not.

Gimme a break. Deans’s non-selection of Cooper is motivated by spite because Cooper committed the heinious crime of criticising Deans’s extremely questionable RWC tactics.

Saying only Cooper can beat the All Blacks is laughable

Team should be:

Robinson/Slipper
Moore
Kepu
Sharpe
Simmons
Higginbotham
Pocock
Mowen
Genia
Cooper
Ioane
Barnes
Ashley-Cooper
Shipperly
Beale

Polota-Nau
Slipper/Holmes
Pyle
Dennis
Sheehan
Faingaa
Morahan/Harris

Mowen should be there ahead of Samo and Gill ahead of Hooper. Although, I’m not sure of the wisdom of a 2nd openside breakaway anyhow.

He outplayed him did he? You are kidding. Not the game I saw and the stats reflect that:

Hooper – 4 ruck/maul involvements, 4 runs (20m gained), 11 tackles (100% effective)
Gill – 5 ruck/maul involvements, 6 runs (40m gained), 22 tackles (100% effective)

Couldn’t agree more.

ROBBIE DEANS interview (pt.1): Wallabies need an attacking mindset

he has the right background too. he’s a tah. that’s all that’s necessary

I don’t think it hurts them at all considering it was a planned sucker punch.

Luckily for Hooper, he signed for the right team next year *nudge* *nudge* *wink* *wink* say no more

Question Deans and you’re out. Ask Gits. The guy has a massive ego, hence his pigheaded insistence on repeatedly selecting players who are out of form (or never were in form) and out of position, and repeatedly playing tactics which simply don’t work.

The only thing protecting Deans is JO’N, who simply won’t admit he is wrong.

Wallabies squad announced for opening Bledisloe Test

Don’t try to change the argument. He was wrong for not having a backup #7 in the RWC *squad*. Nobody was demanding that they play with a #7 on the bench.

Wallabies squad announced for opening Bledisloe Test

you are joking right? Horne has the worst defensive record of any 13 in the 2012 S15 season.

Wallabies squad announced for opening Bledisloe Test

Worst team I’ve seen since the mid-90s. Utterly dreadful and they are going to get smashed.

Did Deans actually watch any games in the 2012 S15 series?

The inclusion of Horne, Samo, Timani, Phipps and Mitchell at the expense of others who’ve been in better recent form (or actually played, for that matter) is a complete joke. Neither Samo or Timani can make the starting lineup of their provincial sides, yet here they are on the Wallabies team sheet. Mitchell has been injured for 90% of the season and was very ordinary in his return to NSW. I would normally be thinking “Un-effin-believable!” but, again, this is Deans we are dealing with.

Ant Faingaa probably shouldn’t be there either – bench at best. TPN is good for 50 minutes and can’t throw straight, so what’s the point? Major question marks over Kepu and Robinson as well – they are both lazy around the park.

The only people who could possibly agree with this team are the Dingo Deans fan club mongs, gutless journos who are scared of being black-balled by the ARU and one-eyed idiot Tard fans.

By the way: Isn’t it amazing how a backup #7 is now, apparently, essential? Last year, those of us who criticised Deans’s hare-brained decision to go to the RUWC without a backup #7, were sneered at by Deans and his sycophants.

Not a stupid question but I doubt there’s a link. Surely. That said, I’m sure Benny gets a biscuit every time he writes an sycophantic ARU press release disguised as a media article.

Horne fit and ready for All Blacks

Another year goes by and another load of hot air. Blah blah blah. Pffft.
