There is a rumour that he surpassed third base with said rock of chat.

What three hours in a bar taught me about RWC contenders - including the 'most confident 0-4 team on the planet'

Nah guitars around a fire was rennies thing. EJ likes burning newspapers and throwing grenades at the media.

'If I could bet, I would': Jones '100 percent' confident Wallabies will win World Cup

I’m sure Smith, Whitelock, Cane, Savea, Mounga, retallick, and coles would appreciate your assessment of them being in a B team.

'If I could bet, I would': Jones '100 percent' confident Wallabies will win World Cup

To be fair on Zane, it’s his second test and the lad is 22. His best years are ahead of him.

Bledisloe heartbreak: Eddie's Wallabies denied by last minute Mo'unga penalty as ABs seal stunning comeback

Yeah, my bad. Wishful thinking on Liam.

Bledisloe heartbreak: Eddie's Wallabies denied by last minute Mo'unga penalty as ABs seal stunning comeback

To be fair we were ahead until the 64min, we just couldn’t wrestle back momentum to score more points. Which is disappointing because a lot of our experience was on the field at that stage.

I would add Wilson or L.Wright for Leota on the bench. Better combination with Fraser and Tate.

Whitelock clearly head-butted our guys forearm with his face. Play on.

Samu is probably the only unlucky one. The rest of them you mention are not in the same class as Bobby V, ikitau, AAA and Frost. They don’t have their head coach in the setup anymore giving them free entry.

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Tate to captain 'new era' as Eddie changes back-row, calls up rookie prop after Thor blow

The most influential brumbies who drove decent results against the kiwi teams are in the team. Some are injured, unfortunately. Putting brumbies in just because, doesn’t take into consideration strong performers from other provincial sides. And it’s not like they were winning the comp year in, year out. They didn’t win a game in NZ either.
Don’t forget that Eddie played a 3 match series against a more brumbies heavy wallabies team not long ago, and won. He is well aware of the limitations of their playing style at international level.

I admire your ability to pluck some optimism out of the last game. I just stopped watching after we were ahead 7-5. So in my mind we won. I’m not sure if I’m a wallabies supporter anymore or rather the long term victim of a sporting trauma bond.

'Meat to the bones': Plenty to chew on for Wallabies fans after best performance of the year

They had their moments in the first quarter, but they didn’t convert them into enough points to gain confidence in what they were doing. If they had managed to, it might have made for more of a contest for longer. He is trying to implement a new game style against 3 of the more established and settled teams in the world in the last month, and has been rightly hammered. Not an easy task.

'We let down Eddie': Wallabies go into bat for coach after Bledisloe defeat, Alaalatoa's World Cup heartbreak

No point testing the dealer.

'We can be a bloody good team': Eddie says he got selection right and Wallabies can still be RWC threat

The key to winning against the ABs, in my opinion, is to beat up their forwards. Go through the middle, starve them of ball for long periods. Can this pack do that? Maybe. I guess we find out Saturday but I think our guys will challenge them. I would like a more rugged #2. Uelese is EJs pet project, it seems.
Tates selection is not just about his running game. His line speed on D will help too. Carter Gordon has been impressive this year and deserves a chance to start. His ability to shift the attack wide is noticeable. And his defence is ok for a 10. Bigger back row points to more ruck pressure, but also ruck kick pressure. Force the ABs to change their kick plan slightly, which may be a strategy to do with the ground they are playing on.
Selections look like a running first half and more kicking in the second with the bench. Eddie has seen something in the ABs structures from the first two matches that he thinks we can pressure. It will be up to the players to execute on the day. We haven’t managed to do that yet in this tournament.
The ABs will go after our strengths, which is typical of them. Undermine confidence and play at the minds of their opposition. Eddie has set the tone prematch with some classic Australian swagger. Hopefully it rubs off on the lads. Even after 20 years I still don’t feel beaten, we never are beaten really. Australians live in the best country on the planet, just ask all the kiwis who live here.

'Butch defence, Larkham glide': What Eddie sees in Test rookie as Wallabies make SEVEN changes

It’s a sprint mate, nah it’s a marathon mate. Nah, nah it’s a middle distance run maaate. Nah I’m not a runner mate, I drive cars, it’s broken down. Better than the ashes mate.

'Look out': Eddie puts All Blacks on notice despite 'broken car' Wallabies' loss to Argentina

It was one of those WTF games where it looked like no one had a clue and their legs were gone after 20mins. It’s not like you don’t know what the Boks are going to do. Did EJ flog them in the weeks leading up to the game? No excuses, but they didn’t really fire a shot outside of the first 5 mins.

'What was with that defensive set up?': Jones-Hodgson combo must get up to speed fast with Fisher absence clear to see

Sounds like my type of place. So, are the Boks still underdogs for the RWC?

Fresh meat: Loftus Versfeld smells like an abattoir. Tom Hooper and co were skewered and thrown on the braai

Schoupp is good at the defensive breakdown. Something that wasn’t really a threat at the weekend from our side. Pone is better in the carry which was also missing from our front row on the weekend.

Schoupp, Fa'amausili called up by Wallabies as Tupou released to make comeback

I think he said blessed are the cheese makers.

The Wrap: Like Hillary at Everest Base Camp, Eddie Jones has a mountain ahead of him

The whole team was off for the most part but there are some players who deserve more scrutiny than others because of their experience. White often passed the ball to a player in a worse position than himself. His passes were high and inaccurate, and he made bad decisions on attack- like the grubber when there was a 3 on 1 outside him. Some of that is ruck pressure, but he should have been hooked earlier.
AAA was sloppy at the clean out, and got owned at scrum time. The boks front row had him second guessing himself and he made the same errors repeatedly.
Frost made a couple of bad decisions on D around the ruck and maul that led to tries. His line out was good though. The entire back row was manhandled physically which set the conditions for Whites poor decision making under pressure.
The two skippers have a lot to answer for, because they couldn’t stop the rot on the field. They have over 200 tests experience between them.
Hodge isn’t physical enough to play centres, he doesn’t make dominant tackles and he doesn’t run hard into space or contact. Defends on his heels and goes too low, creating offload opportunities.
Vunivalu was all at sea on D, and that has been the case most of this season. Nothing new really, him being there is on the selectors.
Wright isn’t an international fullback, he is a winger, as he doesn’t kick accurately and makes bad decisions under pressure at the back. People can complain about having SV outside him, but jock has had to deal with that all season, and gets wrongfully hammered when he is the one having to carry one of his wingers through matches.
Tom Hooper missed some tackles but he will get better. Same with young Nongoor. They understand what the standard is now in one of test rugby great cauldrons.
Skelton was pretty much fighting the bok forwards all on his own for most of the first half and was then gassed. Richie Arnold came in and gave a decent account of himself with the game already gone. The reserve hooker should have stayed on the pine. I think it’s time for Faessler to be given a chance.
Quade and kerevi looked like they have been on holiday in Japan. Welcome back to test rugby.
There are other points but this is turning into a JK Rowling novel.

Wallabies player ratings: Forward pack eaten up, Suli taught a lesson and kicking game badly off

Well, since Eddie’s last outing at loftus in charge of an Australian team that’s 50 points better. He has improved as a coach…

'Disaster': Wallabies hammered by Boks as Eddie Jones' return falls flat

He is the messiah, because he is Australian.

'Best winger in the world': Why Eddie is risking it big on the Highveld to try and unlock Suli's NRL mindset

Just more whinging from the poms. No surprise really.

COMMENT: Cummins failed the moral test and tarnished these Ashes. He had the chance to be a legend and blew it

Ireland are underdogs because they have never made it past the quarters. France are underdogs because in their last home RWC they choked and lost to Argentina twice.
The defending champions are the favourites.
