Letting game flow, then all of a sudden giving one team two penalties in a row in quick succession changes game

Cows bit on top, then ref starts giving roosters consecutive penalties, guess what, rooster so score, even game til their intervention

Great game, fast, plenty of footy, best team won. It is time however for drug, alcohol testing before commentry. Andrew John’s just ridiculous for 80 minutes

There’s always disappointed fans when a team gets eliminated, but maybe you should ring a mate before whinging publicly.
The best team won last night, refereeing was consistent the whole game, nothing to bang on about. Perhaps the clumsy attack from Panthers could take some criticism.
Broncos played the better finals footy.
As for ref stopping game for Oates, all kudos to ref. The ball was knocked on, accidental offside. Ref decided not to play advantage, all Broncos only concerned for the injured players. Playing advantage is not compulsory.

Broncos brush past Panthers to book a prelim

Seeing sharks tries only came from very dubious early try, and very dubious raking ball decision, I can’t see any reason for gripes. Tom of Brisbane sums it up very well. Flanno’s use of his tools very ordinary. Definitely would not have those two together in crucial last minutes.
Well done to Cowboys, I thought they would be ripped off like in most finals games they have played, but refereeing was equally unfair to both sides.

Cowboys come back to conquer Cronulla in extra time

Munster’s sin bin was ridiculous. Take a quick tap and run into the nearest player is your own problem. There wasn’t going to be a try, there were storm players behind Munster. Any player would do what
munster did, just go back and tap it properly, if you care to look, it wasn’t taken on the mark anyway.

I am a big fan of a quick tap, but you need to think before you do it. Was he just supposed to be allowed to waltz on over for a try. Don’t be giving me guff about it being ‘the rules’. Players and refs use the rules if and when it suits them

Just because Phil Gould says something doesn’t make it fact. I know he is there for his opinions, but the way the rest of the commentary staff just join in on his biased commentary makes me squirm. Why can’t we have radio broadcast which simulcasts with tv coverage, therefore I can turn the drivel off.

Storm survive serious scare from energetic Eels, confirm home prelim

Really get sick of people saying ‘the referee didn’t cost them the game’
As a viewer I want a competent, impartial, two eyed referee to really enjoy the game. It is not only as a supporter of a team, but of the game, which draws me to the television or an oval.
I can.’t see why the rules can’t be maintained evenly during 80 mins of footy.

Storm beat injury-hit Cowboys

Referee Klein picks a side every time he runs out. He is always against Qld teams, and dearly lives his Eels.
His performance last night was his usual offering, and has been tolerated by his bosses for many years.

Storm beat injury-hit Cowboys

Late dangerous hits have been occurring for a number of years now. I do recall those clowns on Matthew John’s show laughing about the constant targeting of Thurston with late hits. Have not watched since.
Refs allow the ball not to be played, are shocked when a scrum involves scrumaging. So how can they be relied upon to handle anything major.
Coaches take full advantage, and they need to be reined in. There would be no doubt Stewart would have told his players to shut down Billy. His post match would be mainly deflecting any investigation into this and protecting himself and players.
Time for action, enforce the rules, coaches will comply eventually.
