Go and complete your day job for $5-10k per year. Considerably more of a sacrifice.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I think there’s another angle that this can be viewed from. Your day job will quickly become merely a hobby if it doesn’t pay the bills. And rightly so.

How will it develop without stimulus? A womens league needs a leader to stimulate it.
And average country blokes might beat them in a heavy contest, but I bet the women play different style. The women’s rugby at the olympics was an example of this. It’s like playing juniors against seniors at training; the seniors use their size and the juniors use their pace.

I agree with this method. I can see arguments the other way, but I think context is important. As an example: G Ablett Jr. Always a wizard, but would he have even more brownlow’s if he never left the cats?
