Agree, the results are what matters but I was referring to the type of build up. Just feel that the Springboks build up has been less disjointed. They really only made 1 significant change during the Tri Nations, replaced their “B” team with their “A” team, simple. Also, their close loss to the Wallabies was their first game together for months. Not bad considering. The All Blacks build up however, has been been more fragmented. They have made constant changes from week to week and still haven’t settled on their top side let alone had time to form combinations.
Springboks under pressure against New Zealand
It’s amazing how much criticism PDV gets but has nothing on Robbie Deans. At least he can string a sentence together. He might just have the last laugh.
Springboks under pressure against New Zealand
The All Blacks could put out a “c” side and there wouldn’t be much difference. However, it’s the team with the best XV that counts and me thinks Sth Africa have the edge, Also, Sth Africa have had the better build up to the WC. They started the Tri Nations with a “b” team and now field their strongest lineup heading into the WC, The All Blacks build up has been more disjointed. They started the Tri Nations with close to their best team, now effectively their “b” team and then possibly back to their best team next week.

Wrong, South Africa will win the final 17 – 6 against France. A try to Schulk Burger and 4 penalties to Morne Steyn and a couple of penalties to France. It will be overcast with showers.
Prediction: England will win Rugby World Cup
Welcome to the Robbie Deans show! Roll up, roll up everyone and get your tickets here.
Deans has selected his best possible Wallaby squad and captain
South Africa a good chance to beat France in World Cup final.
Does Peter de Villiers deserve a medal?
All Blacks will win again Sat & South Africa will beat France 17 – 6 in the WC final.
All Black kingpins return for Wallabies clash

Robbie Deans still trying to keep up with the Joneses
Seriously, in light of what’s happened the right decision has been made. Ppl have lost their lives in 1 of the worst natural disasters NZ has ever faced and we are quibbling over a couple of points?
Crusaders and Highlanders game cancelled - points share sham
Brumbies to win the Super 15, Gits to take over Cooper and Robbie Colemen a Wallaby bolter…wow, all this after 1 game.
ACT Brumbies could be the dark horses
Yup, ok. Will play that. Just the tests then. 9/6 it is.
Deans' young guns on World Cup path
Yup, fair call but shows how wrong he was, doesn’t it? Thought Sharpe had a great season and think he would have thrived if he was given the leadership.

‘Deans speak’ reminds me a lot of ‘Mitchell speak’ which means they are carefully considering their words before attempting to string a sentence together. Often he will use ‘to be frank, to be fair etc’ to give him time to think of his next carefully chosen words.
Richie Benaud is the only person I know that can pull this off but he does it naturally and unlike Deans, you can actually understand what he is saying. In the other words, he is the master at taking complex information and making it seem very simple, logical and easy to understand.
Deans' young guns on World Cup path
Could never understand why Sharpe wasn’t made captain. Why he chose and now persists with Rocky, i’ll never know. If you include Munster, then it was a 9-7 win/loss ratio for the Wallabies this year and 2 of those wins were in the dying seconds. At least Dingo has kept his 50% winning record intact. Not sure why he is always insisting the Wallabies are on track to win the WC when clearly, they are not. But then again, what else is he going to say?
Deans' young guns on World Cup path
The scrum situation has gotten out of hand and needs to be fixed. It’s almost a miracle if there isn’t a reset, penalty or free kick awarded at scrum time. They must get rid of the scrum calls by the referee. That’s what’s causing it. Teams are often being penalised if they don’t anticipate the referee’s call correctly and that’s ridiculous. It’s often completely randomn and takes away from the actual purpose of the scrum. In the past, if they happened to collapse (it was rare) they were just told to reset and start again. No big deal.
If the scrum calls were introduced for safety reasons it doesn’t appear to be working. There seems to be more collapsed, wheeled, push over and ‘popped’ scrums than ever before.
It's time for the great scrum debate
France will beat England in q’final.
Wallabies, Springboks and All Blacks lead the way to RWC 2011
stillmissit – Agree, but that’s my point. Berrick Barnes surely has to be retained on goal kicking performance alone. Just wondering, would JOC have retained goal kicking duties if he was playing? Dingo’s coaching style and selections at the moment appear to be patchwork at best. He attempts to fix up 1 area only to have another fall apart. It appears to be mostly reactionary in other words.
Wallabies splutter to win over stubborn Italy
‘So who plays next week, Barnes or Gits? The only difference between them that I can see is that Barnes can kick.’ Yup, Dingo digs himself further into a hole.
Wallabies splutter to win over stubborn Italy
Yup, in stark contrast actually. They stuck to their gameplan and executed brilliantly. It really is a credit to the coaching staff they way the AB’s are playing. The AB’s have arguably had better forwards in the past (tight 5 anyway) but hard to fault their ‘team’ performance at the moment.
Ton-up for Henry as All Blacks down Irish
Scrappy, unconvincing win for the Wallabies. Too often they were guilty of trying to force the pass, instead of building the phases. Italy scrambled well and were ok at breakdown but offered nothing in attack.
Wallabies splutter to win over stubborn Italy
ChuckN they still won on the scoreboard, devoid of any ideas or not. Springboks far from finished and still genuine threat to win WC.
