I believe the only way forward with expansion is to make some hard decisions in sydney and lose two teams. The competition really needs to be truly national. I believe that Perth is a no brainer and a second New Zealand team is a must. Looking ahead PNG must also have a side in the next 5 years. Base the side in Cairns as basing players in Port Moresby is just not an option for safety reasons. PNG are just crazy for RL, nothing compares to their enthusiasm towards the game. A second Brisbane side is also required asap. Time for the game to make the right decisions for the future of the game. Imo.
Discussing NRL expansion
As a Parra fan for the past 40 years i can say this is the worst side this club has ever produced. I have never been so disappointed with a team. My expectations were not high at the start of the season, just an improvement on last season and a stepping stone for next year when more players come on line. I don’t blame Ricky and I know he wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to winning. It’s the players who must turn up week after week and put their body on the line. They capitulated again. Their heads are tuned to losing and it like a cancer. Ricky needs to make some hard decisions and drop players. We cant keep selecting non performing or out of form players. I know we don’t have the cattle but I am sure if given a chance the younger generation of players would do no worse. I know they will be written off to win next week at home against the cowboys, but the same happened against the Roosters and they bounced back against Cronulla. To all the fans out there, stay true to the club. Remember our club is like family, we stick together through thick and thin. Go Parra.
Eels the worst side of the NRL era
Well done the mighty eels. A hard fought game and they played for the full 80 minutes. They are definitely top 8 standard this year. Great win and good to see parra show some ticker. A good team that win continue to surprise many more teams this year.
