Mitzer, they already have a ‘suspension’ system in place in rugby, its called a yellow card. Cheating is part of every sport especially at eltie level it just depends how much of a risk your willing to take and how good at getting away with it you are.

Stop cheating players in rugby by suspending offenders

Reading this article i can not comment on QLD ‘crowd safety’ personnel first hand but the view taken doesn’t suprise me. My biggest gripe with FFA matchdays wetther at bluetongue or anywhere else is the lack of replays shown on the big screen. Anything as controversial as a throw in given to the wrong team is treated with a large promotional symbol on screen in case of inciting a riot. It is much more enjoyable to watch a foxsports telecast with plentiful replays. I’ve let FFA know my point of viewe a few times. But what makes this policy even worse is the hypocritical way it is applied, an onside player could score but flagged offside and the goal cancelled, this would not be shown on the big screen, whilst if a player scored a hand of god goal and it is awarded they show it on the big screen as the have to replay the ‘goals’.

Must A-League fans be treated like criminals?

The only problem I have with Watsons outburst was that it was in the last innings of the series and didn’t allow the Windies the option to reciprocate his ‘enthusiasm’. Actions that add heat to the confrontation in test cricket only add to the theatre. Sure give them a slap on the wrist and take away part of their match payment but these battles within the match itself are essential to the game. It doesn’t need to happen every test but don’t deny that two test cricketers standing toe to toe, eye to eye ala Steve Waugh vs Curtly Ambrose and now Haddin vs Benn is not good viewing. Add in some sledging, well directed bounces. Marvelous. Watson just needs to pick the context for his outbursts, bring it on.

Shane Watson and Sulieman Benn are modern 'flannelled fools'
