Yes went to an AFL game with a friend. He had 2 or 3 favourite players I was a neutral.
At the end of the game surprisingly 2 of his favourites were in his best players and one even best on ground. I saw it differently and could maybe put one of his players in 5th best. There were far superior players from both teams on the ground. It’s perception and blinkered eyes a lot of fans would vote for.

End the Dally M farce: Time to hand over voting on the NRL's best players to the only true experts

Why? They both have about the same batting average. That’s not improving the team.

Marnus regains form but Australia's ongoing middle-order woes put heat on Carey as Kiwis claw back into Test

What you are saying is because our top 5 have been rubbish the number 7 is under a cloud?

Marnus regains form but Australia's ongoing middle-order woes put heat on Carey as Kiwis claw back into Test

Don’t understand this when Carey has the same or better average than Inglis.
And how do you know you cam trust him?

Rejigged Aussie batting line-up fails again as top-order collapse puts Black Caps on track for drought-breaking Test win

Speak for yourself. Friend caught it over Christmas and said she had never felt so sick in her life.

COVID chaos rocks Aussie camp again as Marsh faces tricky captain assignment after positive test

I found the WI v Aus was more thrilling than the England v India test.
That wasn’t bazball that was just bowler v batter. Bowler won.

Same as in India. The English spinner won it for them.

Bazball won’t save Test cricket - but it’s time to give ‘whingeing Poms’ overdue credit for dramatic turnaround

Yesterday was so oppressive and humidity went over 90%. Felt sorry for the guys with the helmets on. We went to friend with air conditioning to get away from it.

Aussies face huge call over batting experiment with Smith and Green failing again as Windies turn Test on its head

If you’re sitting down eating, drinking and chatting at the tennis, you are not there for the tennis, Or at least the match on the court next to you. Put the tables and chairs out the back with a big screen like they do at the Adelaide Oval.

'Really disturbing': The bizarre way 'Courtside Bar' hecklers got under Aus Open star's skin

Definitely not looking to the future.
Hope Green does better this time against the Windies. Avge 7 last time.
What are they going to do if Smith fails plus he is nearing retirement? Ussie is near retiring. Trying to hand the Ashes back to England next time.

'Best six batters in the country': Smith will open and Green returns as Bailey denies Bancroft rift over Sandpaper saga

Thus isn’t solving anything just delaying.
Having Smith open for WI and if he fails where do they go from there?

'Bugger me, that's a question for George Bailey': Ex-selector lashes Warner over replacement call, MCG says sorry to Marsh

The umpire tells him to run off the pitch. Even waves his arm as he is speaking to show him. The bowler then starts running straight at him yet the umpire is being intimidating. Some of these ex cricketers look stupider every day.
Was the umpire meant to say “its okay Mr Curran your exempt from rules because you’re a “marquee player”. Just go wherever you want.”

'Didn't expect the stand-off': BBL Pom apologises to ump, 'deeply regrets' controversial incident as ban upheld

Unworthy winner. Ask the Lions if they think he’s unworthy. He’s worth every penny they pay him. Just because the author is annoyed his personal choice or yours didn’t win doesn’t make him unworthy.

I remember when Ollie Wines won it the same rhetoric came out.

COMMENT: Lachie Neale's baffling win proves it's time to take Brownlow voting off the umps

AFL round 22's crucial cogs: The players who need to make a difference for their team this week

During the season he’d be back in Melbourne once or twice a month and then there’s the off season. Possibly doesn’t see them that often now. Plus the kids would love a holiday in the sun every now and then.

Thanks Ozzie. Wonder if the Poms have read up on that amended rule. Seems they are not too keen on reading the rule book.

COMMENT: Cummins failed the moral test and tarnished these Ashes. He had the chance to be a legend and blew it

At first reading the headline and opening paragraph I thought crap another Cameron article but get down to the description of Bairstow and never laughed so much. Great read.

The spirit of cricket was murdered in cold blood by sunburnt thugs - and the game might never recover

Many people are now talking about the Mankad coming in to play but wasn’t that rule changed. I didn’t think it could be done anymore.

COMMENT: Cummins failed the moral test and tarnished these Ashes. He had the chance to be a legend and blew it

I’ve watched cricket for a while and every wicket keeper has thrown the ball at the stumps at times when they have caught it after a delivery. What the heck are they carrying on about?

'Worst thing I’ve ever seen in cricket': Broad, McCullum whinge about Bairstow drama but McDonald returns serve

How can he say England would have won 9 out of 10.

Smith and marcus may have scored more runs. Their openers may have fallen for easy runs.
That comment is just guess work not logic.

'Play it 10 more times and England win 9': The Pommy and the Aussie chat first Test, Marnus worries and teams for Lord's

He didn’t have to do much to better his “senior” batting colleague s, they only being Finch and Marsh. And finch has not been in the test team that long.
Kawajha just needed a thinner glove!!!
Still not the worst test I’ve watched better than the South African capitulations.

Composed Head upstages impatient teammates

Just saying no one can guarantee what will happen.
And marsh would have been there anyway so need to maybe compare to Handscomb.
People probably thought Don Bradman would have made a few runs in his last test as well. Nothing is certain .

The Australian cricket selectors caught between a rock and a hard place

The writer is presuming Warner and Smith would have made better scores. No one can guarantee that.
