It's hard to tell if some of Australia's Super Rugby teams actually have a deep desire to win - or are they satisfied just playing?
Some of the players don’t seem to have much of an emotional impact to losing.

It’s sad Reds,
That’s for sure, by the time the cup roles around we will be ranked 10th.
Again, I don’t mind the youth strategy, but to pull it all together would be a miracle
All Blacks smash Wallabies to seal Bledisloe AGAIN as Eddie's pain grows after devastating injury to star prop
I honestly can’t see the Wallabies getting out of their pool.
There are not enough props left.
I admire the youth strategy, but they are way too green.
Wales will beat the Wallabies and Fiji are 50/50
All Blacks smash Wallabies to seal Bledisloe AGAIN as Eddie's pain grows after devastating injury to star prop
I love the way Eddie keeps roping us in.
I keep saying I’m over it, and Eddie brings us back (much like George Costanza, driving women to lesbian, and Kramer bring them back).
Good episode, watch it
I really don’t mind this team, the chances of Winning are slim, but they were anyway.
There are risks everywhere, but the youth will benefit from this.
Please stop teasing us Wallabies, get a win with a new breed.
Make Eddie look gold
'Kiwis think they're better than us': Eddie turns up heat on Bledisloe rivals saying 'country sinks' when ABs lose
Jeez this is always tough.
I like all 3 options and as you say, there are benefits and flaws to all.
I would probably lean toward no. 3, but with a real draft for before the finals of the respective club comps.
Perhaps each franchise can pick 5 uncntracted players each to bolster their squad for Super Rugby AU.
The only other option would be to split every super club into 2 somehow with development players and have a 10 team comp, to make an NRC, also with a draft for club players
COMMENT: ‘Making a choice’ - what are the REAL options available for Australia's third tier?
Yeah, I know.
It’s a left field John.
I reckon Perese is the best like for like
'Unbearable to watch': Superstar's struggles sum up woes - but Eddie just 10 percent away from a breakthrough
Sorry Christy,
Did you say “biggest selection calls”.
Please!
Easiest selection call. Never to play again.
Who replaces is interesting.
He never deserved a spot in the first place.
Exclusive: Axe set to fall on Wallabies regular as Eddie makes selection statement ahead of Bledisloe
I know there are a few options at 13, Perese and Foketi are there, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Flook getting a crack.
He is developing really quickly, perhaps it’s worth the risk?
Another one I know
'Unbearable to watch': Superstar's struggles sum up woes - but Eddie just 10 percent away from a breakthrough
I’d go Perese or Flook at outside, as a straight replacement.
Fullback is an issue as Wright should never be picked again.
Could Gordon play fullback as a smokey
Wallabies defeat wasn’t about winning or losing. It was about discovery
Maybe Eddie has a 5 game plan to look as crap as possible and explode for the start of the World Cup.
He’s such a fox.
We’re all in Eddie.
Let’s make sure we get smashed by the All Blacks twice and then France.
You are cheeky devil
'Gutted': Cheika's Pumas steal dramatic win to confirm Eddie's worst Wallabies fears
That’s a huge push mate.
He saved a try, yes, but is always out of position for a high ball, and barely takes them if he is.
Please

Maybe a brain as well, there are 23 players, surely one of them have one
'Gutted': Cheika's Pumas steal dramatic win to confirm Eddie's worst Wallabies fears
The good news is, we always grow an “extra arm” against the All Blacks, which still hasn’t meant a win in 20+ years.
But if we can grow an arm, a leg, a head, a toe, a pair if nut and a heart, we might go down by 20+ instead of 50+
'Gutted': Cheika's Pumas steal dramatic win to confirm Eddie's worst Wallabies fears
Couldn’t agree more.
Especially Wright and 6, our 7’s are crap too.
Hooper to old, McReight can’t handle test rugby.
Maybe Pete Samu at 7 and Wilson at 6, but again, not world class at all.
But the big tip:
STOP GIVING AWAY BLATANT PENALTIES
'Gutted': Cheika's Pumas steal dramatic win to confirm Eddie's worst Wallabies fears
Tom Wright’s manager had a huge whinge about RA going for Suaali.
Here’s a tip, Tom Wright please go overseas.
Worst 15 in Wallaby history.
Carter Gordon or QC at Fullback if Kellaway isn’t available.
Wright should be marked, “never to be picked again”

Yes please

The NRL will go broke with a class action against head knocks.
It has happened in NFL and World Rugby.
Even soccer/football are doing it with headers.
If the NRL don’t act, it’s only going to get worse.
The difference between NRL and AFL, is that there isn’t a funding body “globally”.
If they get hit with $250m law suits, they are pretty tight, beyond that, they could fold.
One thing both codes have, is a tremendous loyalty from their families, that don’t want to pursue.
But there are a few, who seriously need help.
If others want to jump on for other reasons, this could be diabolical

As I read this article, I was concerned about who might open, if Warner was replaced.
I don’t mind Head as an opener, with both Marsh and Green in the team, but could head see off 50 balls as opener?

I can’t rate him better than Smith, sorry JS.
I can’t rate him above Kefu at 8 either.
Great player, but not in my 15, bench yes
The Roar's Greatest Wallabies Rugby World Cup XV Poll closes TONIGHT!
I quite like the team.
Clearly Eddie is trying to manage a few incumbents with a view to seeing if the new breed can handle it.
Definitely some risks, but hey, no-one is expecting us to win, but on paper, it looks good.
But we have since 2003.
I am actually staying up to watch this one live on Sunday morning
Wallabies CONFIRMED: Why Jones opted for Hodge at 12 as Suli starts and four debutants named for Boks clash
Love it,
All awesome players in their positions.
Agree some could’ve shifted to alternate rolls.
Imagine the best of the best in one team.
I must say, I have voted very few from the last 16 years.
In fact none
The Roar's Greatest Wallabies Rugby World Cup XV Poll closes TONIGHT!
Yep,
Fittler must go.
His selections are mind boggling.
He has a larger pool to pull from, but consistently gets it wrong.
In game one this year and, all of last year’s series, he claimed a “combination”, clearly based around Penrith.
Then, with injuries for game 2, he claimed “it’s not all about combinations”.
He also appears to struggle with media, despite the fact that his job.
The scariest aspect is, the losses are getting more embarrassing.
It’s almost as though there is no plan at all, let alone plan b or c.
Who comes in is anyone’s guess.
John’s is a bit to lose, maybe Buderus.
But Freddy, it’s time.
One of the best players of all time for club and state.
One of the worst coaches for club and state.
Time to stick to media
Origin II: Axe set to fall on Fittler after Slater’s Maroons commit Blue murder to win series as three players get sent off
Yeah, good point JC, but also think that if “super Rugby” standard players from Australia get exposure in NZ, that could could dilute the field and give NZ players exposure to super rugby in Australia.
That means more spots for Aussies in NZ.
The problem in Australia is, development and pathways.
If these mediocre players from NZ get opportunities in Australia, while the super rugby teams in Australia, seem to overlook talent, perhaps this works
DMac at the Rebels and a team in Hawaii - draft and expansion fuel Hamish's grand vision for Super Rugby
I think the draft is a good idea, along as it is capped in some way, such as, max 2 current All-Blacks per OZ team and visa versa, but perhaps 3 development players.
The Brumbies have just resigned 2 ex Nee Zealanders who couldn’t get a run in NZ, if they were still eligible for NZ, that would be great for both sides of the Tasman.
Must be capped though

Good moves,
Most comments represent mine.
Neither coach has stamped any authority, so far, but McKlennan and Palmer will gain great experience os.
I also reckon EJ gave Palmer a heads up to the roll for Wallabies in 2027.
EJ has free rein remember, he can blame a short turn around “smash and grab”.
But he can make good coaches and good teams…….
For a limited period.
Congrats Dan and Dan, in 4.5years, maybe you could do the rolling maul better
