No other team in the world tries to recruit their way to success by bringing in players from another sport! How about RA spends that money on development and locking up the next “next Joey Johns” before he goes to league in the first place?

Why the Wallabies shouldn't miss out on the next Joey and try to lure Cleary for 2027 World Cup

Our whole attack strategy has been give it to Kerevi and hope he does something! Have we changed to give it to Perese and hope he does something?

'Fall guy': Eddie doubles down on future, makes three changes as Wallabies sweat on RWC miracle

What super rugby team does Donaldson even make? Not the Tahs. Not the Rebels. Not the Reds. Not the Brumbies. Maybe the Force?

'Fall guy': Eddie doubles down on future, makes three changes as Wallabies sweat on RWC miracle

It’ll be ok. RA are planning to spend over 3 million a year on two leaguies instead of say locking up 30-40 quality juniors each year or developing proper academies of providing development officers to regional areas or junior club coaching or a hundred other projects that would be more beneficial.

'It's incredible!': The once ridiculous question that shows how far Wallabies stocks have fallen after 'bad hangover'

Good to know we’ve been training really well. Thanks for nothing Eddie

You have a more discerning eye than me Jez. I couldn’t identify an attack structure at all let alone a third rate one. And if anyone is interested, Eddie has now had 14 losses out of his last 15 games as Wallabies coach with one win against Georgia and zero against tier one opposition. Surely that ranks him as the most unsuccessful coach the Wallabies have ever had.

Eddie Jones should be celebrated not booed: Why the worst thing RA could do is sack the Wallabies coach

Ironically I was hoping we would get Japan 2015 Eddie Jones but here we are with 2007 Qld Reds Eddie

'Clown show', 'such a flog', 'poor form': How Aus rugby reacted to report that Eddie had Japan job interview before RWC

Sure was and Michael Hooper was involved in the Beale affair that saw Link resign from the Wallabies job so I can’t see his continued presence at the Wallabies being anymore of a carrot

The town planner who can fix Australian rugby: Wallabies great who RA, Eddie must hope will take key role

I doubt Phil Waugh would be the one to get him back since he was the one who white anted Link at the Waratahs.

Eddie’s thing used to be hold the ball until the defence cracks. Now it seems to be make tackles until the attack cracks. Yeah nah.

'What on earth happens in camp?': Discipline and defence and the massive RWC issue Wallabies must overcome

Used in the lineout that is

Actually he was used quite effectively against Tonga for Aus A. It was one of things that he improved by coming on in the second half

Consider me suitably chastened.

He’s top ten in super rugby for post contact metres. Top ten for tackles. Top ten for metres made and number one for carries. Your criticism is not justifiable

This is a great article Brett and I don’t think I’ve ever seen more unified endorsement from the commentary section. I hope Eddie has a look

The two-week observation: The Wallabies can play low possession rugby OR find the Australian way – but not both

And here’s me hoping we’d come forth

The Wrap: All Blacks and Wallabies show off all of Test rugby’s perfection and imperfections

My take out of the last two weekends is that possession rugby is anything but dead, aggressive commitment at the breakdown is essential and the wallabies need to get back to doing more with the ball from set piece like the best of our teams always did.

Eddie could easily be none from 5 going into the World Cup, so yeah he could do plenty of damage to the interest in rugby in Australia

Great summary Bodger.

'What was with that defensive set up?': Jones-Hodgson combo must get up to speed fast with Fisher absence clear to see

Agree. Dreadful game plan. The Boks game plan was what I thought ours would be. For all his talk about tries within 3 phases, Eddie’s wallabies did nothing off set piece which is where those quick tries come from. The kicking was poor. The defence was poor. Another victim of his fascination with league. The losingest captain in wallaby history was poor, his one turn over should have been a penalty against him. Skelton was anonymous as always at this level. White and Wright don’t deserve to be in the starting team. We only looked a threat with Tate and Gordon on.

'Disaster': Wallabies hammered by Boks as Eddie Jones' return falls flat

Prowling Mexico looking for lost executives Harry! Sounds like the plot for the next extraction movie. Maybe left field Eddie is considering Hemsworth at 14. He seems to be in shape.

'Bullet train Koroibete' and a 'true conundrum': How Eddie must find the 'angel' in heaven for World Cup glory

Fair point about fixation with statistics and other lies. Similarly I’m concerned about his 3 phases for 75% of tries comments. IMO that has been skewed by tries from a rolling maul which is essentially 1 phase. As the Brumbies have found out, those tries are becoming harder to come by and my recollection is that Ireland score most of their tries from multi-phase play and even though France kick a lot, their tries are not coming from 1-3 phase counter attacks.

Exclusive: 'Outstanding' jilted stars who changed Eddie's mind as he fights 'loser mentality' - and his future coach pick

If I can segue off that comment JC I reckon the Reds last 3 games demonstrate the importance of the tight 5. Dominant against the Force equaled an easy win. Got done against the Tahs and the team never really looked like winning. Pretty even against the Chiefs and a nail biter that was great drama and great to watch. All hail the piggies!
