It was Anderson with the card. Gordon only missed a 2 point conversion and got the others.

'Perhaps it's surgery': Reds win ugly over Rebels to keep top four hopes alive as big-name Wallabies forced off

Just got through that one. Ryan and Campbell with some individual brilliance. Rebels defended the best all season.

It is disappointing that both Harrison and Gordon are leaving the Tahs.

The five candidates for the Wallabies No.10 jersey - and the old heads who may sneak in to join them

For Japan? Reported that he’s leaving because he didn’t want to compete with C.Gordon for the Waratah’s 10 jersey. I’ve read Cec say something along the lines of Gordon is going to the Brumbs, players say Reds, Harrison say Tahs and in the papers NRL. Can someone tell us what’s going on?

Get them back to NZ. It’s not the same watching the NZ teams without Richie and Beauden. Dmac the only flyhalf worth watching.

Gordon is your man then. No arguments from me, but goal kicking needs an improvement.

Schmidt needs to do a goal kicking contest on day one, forwards included. Whoever kicks 100% is a guaranteed starter.

I think he’s fighting with Lynagh for a starting spot in the finals.

Creighton was not the best flyhalf last week but had his best SR game in a winning team. He is a solid Red’s backup player outside of Lynagh. Kiss has established his team now and we won’t be seeing HMP unless there are injuries.

Schmidt and Co. are only signed until the end of 2025 so it’s their short term focus to field the best team for the Lion’s games.
Quade would be the only old head to consider and he has recently worked with Gordon and Donaldson. Ultimately they are my 3 squad selections if goal kicking can improve to between 75-80%.
Schmidt can’t deny Lolesio’s kicking right now so he will probably get the green light pushing out Quade and the fact that Schmidt wants to focus on players in SR and not O/S.
Lynagh is just reaching SR level and his goal kicking is no better than Gordon and Donaldson, so give him a miss for another year or two. If there is room for a development player, then slot him in for experience. I think Tane better for Australia A.

Best game to rest Lolesio before finals.

Super Rugby Rd 12 teams: JOC and Tate return, Tahs let Pone off leash, Crusaders welcome back All Blacks duo

Excited to see JOC back on the field. James has had a colourful career and it would be great to send him off with SR title.

We’re a fickle mob. We are so used to living in hope of winning the WC and beat the NZers that we jump on the hype bandwagon. Everyone is the new superstar until they’re not. A good player has a bad game and we’re ready to throw them in the scrap heap.

Exclusive: Wallabies star turns down mega deal overseas to re-sign with Queensland Reds

An important signing for the Reds over the next 2 years. Wallabies too for that matter.

Great analysis Brandon. Positional kicking pressure is key.

Australian rugby is so reluctant to develop a kicking game - and that's a big mistake

They probably earn the same coin now 😂

Jorgo injury adds to Tahs' pain as DC forced to turn to club land to cover FOURTH season-ending hooker blow

Hopefully Queensland 😂

'Toughest decision': Wallaby's blunt admission over form as Force land Brumbies lock, teammate brought to tears

Can you please provide us a copy of the RA sustainable business plan that has been provided to the states? This is particularly important when there has been a change to the broadcasting deal and the flow on effect for the recipients.

The Wrap: Rugby Australia gaslights Rebels staff and why ‘I Can’t Go For That’

In a structured organisation with RA at the top of the pyramid issuing licences to the states (franchises), it is the responsibility of RA to make sure the organisation is viable. RA has clearly failed! Waratahs, Rebels and more recently the Brumbies have had to put their hand out. Not forgetting the Reds previously.
Ummm, Houston, we had a problem!

WHAT???? Is Gordon going to the Brumbies? That is ludicrous. I heard the Reds want him. Tell us more.

Cec provokes everyone. It’s annoying.
The Brumbies are a well oiled cog with good positional depth, and well coached.
Brumbs deserve to be in the top 4.

Are you suggesting to bring in Quade? I’m ok with that as long as Gordon is your bench player. If you are in anyway suggesting Foley, it won’t happen. Foley has been off the mark for years.

Lolesio the slowest of all flyhalves.

The Wallabies’ fullback option is tricky. A Ruben Love type doesn’t exist here. Kellaway leading the contenders, and I had hoped that Petaia would bring more this season. Our pack are not going to be as competitive as we want so you need your backline players who can defend and tackle hard. T Wright, J Campbell, KB, and Donaldson just fonts cut it. Lolesio is another concern in defence.
