Agree. The 75,000 fans who turned up were not there to watch a dead rubber.
There was plenty at stake in this game… and the best team won!
That’s huge going into 2024.
Blues save Best till last as Bradman runs amok to deny Maroons series clean sweep, both coaches could head for exit
Rubbish. If QLD won 24-10 the narrative would be around NSW getting smashed.
Fitler is 3 from 6. That 50% … not great, not terrible.
I’m a NSW fan. I say Fitler stays for the long term… Throwing away 6 years of Origin experience including plenty of wins, some massive… is just dumb.

Teddy has been great and created some brilliant Origin moments… but time waits for no one. Time to move on bro.
Time's up Teddy: Why NSW's Game III win creates the perfect moment for Tedesco to ride off into the Origin sunset
Glass half full eh? Not able to use your creative writing skills to find a positive spin?
Second-rate Friday night 'blockbuster' an insult to fans as Origin makes mockery of NRL draw
Well… I’m no league player, not since I was a kid, but, I am a cyclist, 3 State Champion podiums in the road race with the best being a win. I know a little about fitness.
I say that, not to brag but to add some credibility to my opinion… which is..
Latrell has such a strong level of base fitness that any losses will be negligible.
Blues duo on track for Origin but fitness concerns lingering for Latrell
Can’t argue with any of those points.
From the beach to the Cauldron: Cook and Moses on how the Blues can turn Origin around at Fortress Suncorp
QLD only won game 1 after a monumental screw up in the final 10 minutes.
Add to that the same for the first 10.
I’m a Hynes fan, but you can’t deny that his missed tackle set up the QLD win.
Moses in is a huge plus… and Latrell, if he is on form… and he could well be… fresh and strong… just a weapon.
That said, I’m looking on in amusement at the popular narrative running Fitler down and writing the Blues off.

Yea it’s just my opinion. We all have them. Wednesday night about 10pm will tell the story.
Skinny fields, fast rucks and unleashing Walsh: How Billy Slater's Maroons can set up to win Game 1
You are kidding yourself. That is the exact reverse of how it will play out.
Game 1 2021 revisited. QLD are toast.
Skinny fields, fast rucks and unleashing Walsh: How Billy Slater's Maroons can set up to win Game 1
Yea… but this time it will be a “roving Tommy T’” and a roving N Hynes.
'You’re having to compete for 80 minutes': How tough schedules for Panthers and Souths can power Blues to victory
Right … with the addition of Latrell, JAK, Niko and a couple of new faces in the forwards. I don’t give QLD any chance of winning the series.

Right… I’ll have my algebra calculator charged and at the ready on Wednesday night ????
Both coaches taking major gambles with rookies who can be match-winners but also make costly blunders
Nope … #stickorflick. 😛

Based on what? Show the stats to support that equation.

Jurbo has been great in previous games. Solid, reliable, a dependable work horse that never goes missing.
Yea … the Blues need more than that… And TJP may bring the X factor that will swing the balance in their favour.
NSW Origin I team: Hynes, Pangai, Young to debut, Turbo, Frizell, Foxx back but duo ruled out in new-look side
Agree. I am very surprised he is not in the starting lineup. He’s perfectly suited to origin.
State of Origin Game 2 preview: The Blues have everything to lose
Concur. And given it was 3 tries a piece, I can’t see how that equates to being “thoroughly outplayed”
State of Origin Game 2 preview: The Blues have everything to lose
Yea… I was waiting for the stoppage that didn’t come. How do they miss that?
