Cricket fans will continue to support Pat and Finchy I would expect, the two of them just won a T20 WC and the Ashes. Australian cricket is bigger than the coach, especially a coach that didn’t have much to do with recent Aus success.

Although JL hurt his back single handedly carrying Australian cricket over the last four years, both on and off the field , we will somehow try and survive his departure. It’s going to be tough to continue without the great man but we have learned to wear our hearts on our sleeves and tell it like it is. Lest we forget. 😢

There are a couple of writers out there saying that JL’s contribution to the T20 WC and Ashes wins are being overstated and that JL took a back seat over the last 6 months as far as coaching is concerned. The centerpiece to all defenses of JL by the ex player cheer squad has been the recent success of the Australian team, maybe the players and junior coaching staff should be given a little more credit.
