Lighten Up. Fatty has earned the right to tell a joke. World doesn’t need people to take themselves more seriously.

Viewers need more of Paul the analyst, less of Fatty the class clown's cringeworthy commentating

I don’t understand why you think saying he had potential is unfair? Potential is good. He was actually only 19 and it was very exciting. That is why it is a heartbreaker, his potential was realised but then he just gave up.

Super Rugby teams round 8: Tahs drop Marky Mark, Kellaway returns for Rebels, HMP replaces Lynagh

Marky is a heartbreaker. Comes to the Tahs in 2020 with great flaws but great potential. In 22 he improves and by the end of the year puts on a world class show in Wales. Time to hope, the Tahs have a superstar. He goes ok in 23, not great, but that’s ok, he played his first spring tour in 22 and he has a World Cup coming. Can’t be hot all the time. In 24 he isn’t trying. In 25 he will be playing Rugby League.

Super Rugby teams round 8: Tahs drop Marky Mark, Kellaway returns for Rebels, HMP replaces Lynagh

This list seems weak. Suallii might be a flop but he will likely turn out great like almost every other Rugby League back who has came to Rugby. We have too many super teams and it sure seems like this board is dealing with that? Also Stan is way better than Foxtel, thats not point against RA.

Tulloch could put up some credentials, how is participation going at Norths where he has some control? Are they in the public schools? Are they thriving and solvent?

COMMENT: Australian rugby is a depressing picture - the RA board must be axed and the constitution changed

What is the point in giving a spot to Reed Prinsep? He isn’t bringing Super Rugby experience, he spent 10 years failing to get into Super Rugby. Reason suggests a player who for years couldn’t make a super rugby squad in NZ wont be as good as the guys who did get into NZ Super Rugby squads, so he he isn’t going to win games for the Force.. and even if by some miracle he came good.. he isn’t Australian. He has little potential to play well and no potential to be a Wallaby. That is pointless.

It is also very boring to watch. Nobody is going to get invested in the Reed Prinstep story “Ordinary31 years old NZ Number 8 gets a season with Western Force, will never be heard of in Australia again” who cares?

If the experiment was with Australian players with Henry O’Donnell and Ronan Leahy you could say “in a few years this is gonna be a decent team”. If it were young Western Australians playing you could say “at least the force have created a pathway”. It could be a worthwhile experiment. Right now it isn’t.

'Went straight through us': Blues put 50 on Force as scrum issues return

Turns out a team with players who couldn’t get a contract in NZ Rugby are not as good as a team with players who could get one.
Until WA can fill their team with Australian players they are pointless.

'Went straight through us': Blues put 50 on Force as scrum issues return

Surely the biggest difference between Super Rugby in Aus and these other successful competitions is that 2/5ths of our teams are in places that don’t really care that much about Rugby. How many expansion teams are there in the top 14 or Premiership rugby? Has the URC admitted a team from Kenya or Portugal in order to grow the game there? How many ventures are they making into territories where Rugby is barely played and has no historical support?
You can only invest in new markets when your established markets are making you rich. Aus Rugby got way too confident.

'Curse the money all you want' but RA must work out what it wants from Super Rugby - otherwise the game is doomed

Not in 2021. Was given free rein. Had 6 in his squad at one stage.

Five things we learnt: Why Cheika could be the man to resurrect Tahs, Thor is the new Quade, value of sevens

Sure, but Rennie also avoided playing South Africa in South Africa, he had a much higher percentage of home games and for the most part could select any overseas based player he liked. Evens out.

Five things we learnt: Why Cheika could be the man to resurrect Tahs, Thor is the new Quade, value of sevens

I cannot understand why anyone thinks getting Cheika would be anything less than amazing. He is by some distance the most accomplished coach on the market. He won a premiership with the Waratahs last time he coached, a sugar hit it may have been but it’s a sugar hit I as a Waratahs fan would not refuse!! Bloke beat the All Blackms twice in the last couple of years, with Argentina!

I think he was harshly judged with the wallabies, had a better record than Rennie and Rennies rebuild was mostly picking guys like Foley who were the Cheika favourites Rennie was meant to be moving on from.
Give him millions. Worth more than any star player.

The Waratahs were going forward with very little trouble last night. Gleeson and Vailanu were bending the line with every carry. Solid front foot ball. But then they would try some wild 20m pass to a flat footed winger or a low percentage chip kick and lose the ball. Similarly whenever the Waratahs get a penalty advantage it seems to be a signal to them to try some stupid miracle play or stop trying at all! Indeed it seems like the second that ref’s arm goes up you be assured that the play will breakdown within a phase.

Do they not have a game plan they can stick to or are they reliant on these wild superstar plays? Teams like Italy, full of of blokes who couldn’t make the squad in their home nation, can beat anyone by sticking to a steady plan.

'Something's not working': Tahs' Good Friday turns into a nightmare as Rebels recruit Daugunu seals upset win

I can understand dropping Coleman for Cheika. Cheika took a team to the top 4 of the world cup last year. He won a comp with the Tahs. It takes some genuine hysterics to suggest getting Cheika is a bad move.

If not Cheika keep Coleman. To drop Coleman just to give another rookie a go is pointless. Better to let him persist than roll the dice with GIllmore and start another “rebuilding process”.

Also ol’ Marky Mark needs to step up. Doing nothing. Hasn’t caught a high ball all year. Reilly would be better for now.

Deja vu for Tane as Drua deliver another heart-breaker to under fire Coleman

Is there another Waratahs A game? Perhaps they think Wilson is better of getting a full game there than 5 minutes in Fiji?

Super Rugby teams: Tupou benched, Jorgo back for Fiji trip, Petaia sidelined, Swain surprise

I have never seen a lazier effort. It wasn’t just a quiet game he looked like he was intentionally avoiding the play.

Exclusive: Wallaby refused to play for Rebels against Reds over outstanding debt

Skelton was a huge boost for the Wallabies. Was pivotal in their famous win over Georgia.

'It's time we grew up': The jarring hypocrisy that proves All Blacks are getting key call all wrong

How can the games where the Wallabies have picked overseas players not be data on the Wallabies picking overseas players?

'Fighting with one hand tied': To'omua calls on Rugby Australia to 'pick best Wallabies team' to stop international slide

Well said. Who are these brilliant overseas players that will save the Wallabies? Sean McMahon was meant to be a saviour but when he returned he looked very ordinary and hasn’t been mentioned since. Skelton and Arnold didn’t bring us the wins last year. Kerevi was really very poor, his time is up.

Who else is there? Maybe BPA who would make a minor difference at best.

'Fighting with one hand tied': To'omua calls on Rugby Australia to 'pick best Wallabies team' to stop international slide

No they were not his fault. But the assertion isn’t ” overseas players are to blame for Wallabies losses” it’s “overseas players will help the Wallabies win”. We have some data which allows us to test that assertion and the data says “no it doesn’t help”.

'Fighting with one hand tied': To'omua calls on Rugby Australia to 'pick best Wallabies team' to stop international slide

This is already happening and it doesn’t help the Wallabies. Skelton’s Wallabies record since being selected from overseas is like 1 win form 10 and he is probably the best overseas talented we have.

People keep talking about this like it’s theoretical. It’s happening! Not helping..

YES! me too! on the plus side its really improving my speed reading skills.

Five things we learned: The general who caught Schmidt's eye, why next week is vital for Coleman's Tahs

I know every coach says “you have to kick a lot in the modern game” and “all blacks kick all the time”, but it still feels like the Waratahs kick too much.

Also Jake Gordon needs to step up, 2 shocking box kicks and an uncatchable bullet pass to Gleeson when hot on attack was costly.

Amatesero did loads of work.

Yeah they get poached in the juniors. Correct.

Rebels owe like 20 million dollars. It isn’t like Phil Waugh is thinking “better leak a negative story to The Roar or people will think the Rebels are going great!”.

We are in the context of junior footy here Cec. Keep up.
