Yeah I know, but if that’s the standards that RA have set then you’d expect those standards to apply equally across all franchises.

There couldn’t possibly be one set of rules for the Rebels and a different set of rules for another franchise, could there ?

UPDATE: RA say they were blindsided over Rebels' finances, reject private consortium claim as administrator backs club's survival

Dunno but right now if RA can’t afford to prop up the franchises that are running at a loss, well there might only be one left.

Are any of the franchises profitable, other than the Reds?

RA might have a bit more culling to do yet. 😁

I wouldn’t like to be on the end on a fend to the throat either.

'Not ideal': Reds star duo cop Super Rugby bans after red cards - but where's the consistency?

I can recall watching cricket when they technology was available to the commentary team, but not the umpire.

And any mistake by the umpire was replayed ad nauseum with the commentators pointing out that the ump made a mistake on that one.

Like it or not the genie is out of the bottle.

Rugby is losing the long-term battle: What World Rugby must learn from Australia before it's too late

It’s the nature of sport though, tennis, cricket, league all reliant on the TMO in Saint firm or another.

And it’s inevitable when those sports are highly televised.

I’d rather team A having a whine about the little knock on that was picked up, rather than team B having a whine about the knock on that was missed

I don’t reckon that the IRB would be overly worried by league or the AFL

Look the NRL is a good game, great for those who don’t like the nuance of union.

You could just watch that, problem solved.

Brisbane rugby fan convicted for 'vile and toxic' online abuse of TMO during RWC, as WR goes troll hunting

Yeah but you’re still a singer right? So keep sinning, keep getting forgiven no worries.

It’s a pretty cool scam when you think about it.

Yep same as everybody else

Well as an example suppose I made comment on the appearance of a female colleague.

Crudely expressing my favorable views as to her physical attributes.

Nothing illegal there, yet I doubt it would be workplace appropriate and if continued would, rightfully, lead to my dismissal.

Why bother trying to be a good person when you can just ask for forgiveness ?

Nil clown references that I could find.

You don’t think posting “the ref is a clown”….
Can’t really see the relevance there. Who mentioned clown refs ?

So I could behave appallingly in my workplace, but as long as I don’t break the law, I shouldn’t be sacked.

That would make for a great place of work.

Ahhh but the way I like rugby is the only way it should be played and all else be damned.

Said just about everybody

WR's mooted law changes are great - but show there's a hell of a lot wrong with rugby in 2024, and that sucks

But, but, but he could be the next JOC.

Wonder kid offered 3-yr, $1.6m deal to stay in Aussie rugby - and why it could see Wallabies stars leave Ballymore

Last week the Rebels lost by 27 points. This week by 26.

Improving trend 😁

Exclusive: Rebels threaten Civil War as peace talks with RA end in another blow for Super Rugby

Yeah but you would reckon management might well know what kind of expenses a RWC campaign will generate.

This wasn’t the first time a squad was sent overseas for a rugby world cup.

And considering how early they finished you’d reckon the spend would be less than the other campaigns.

What so somebody planned for a rugby world cup campaign and didn’t consider the possibility of medical expenses ?
