Or a monetary bonus, locality allowance for Perth, double for Canberra etc.

Otherwise so much for the benefits of centralisation.

The Aussies can't win it and the Kiwis don't care. It's time to bin rotten to the core Super Rugby Pacific and start over

What about the players who are on RA contracts? Surely they’d be moved by RA to the franchise with the most need. Which could well be Canberra or Perth.

Centralisation is supposed to have benefits for teams other than the Tahs, right?

The Aussies can't win it and the Kiwis don't care. It's time to bin rotten to the core Super Rugby Pacific and start over

Could we be a whole lot worse…..

You might not be aware of it but there’s this little event in rugby called the Rugby World Cup.

And the 2023 performance will demonstrate that there’s plenty of “worse” left in our national team.

Appeal to authority one of the finer logical fallacies nicely done.

The Wrap: Rebels’ emotions mask 'anger and frustration' as Brumbies cop a six-day semifinal turnaround

$8.1 million is a small amount? Must be outright for some.

Guess we’ll wait and see what that spotlight illuminates. (If it’s ever lit)

The Wrap: Rebels’ emotions mask 'anger and frustration' as Brumbies cop a six-day semifinal turnaround

You mean RA not coming good on commitments made to the Rebels?

A spotlight there could well be interesting, if there’s anything to it.

The Wrap: Rebels’ emotions mask 'anger and frustration' as Brumbies cop a six-day semifinal turnaround

Aww cause the Rebels directors are really really bad.

The Wrap: Rebels’ emotions mask 'anger and frustration' as Brumbies cop a six-day semifinal turnaround

Hey Doc none of us are really close enough to say. Both Herbert and Waugh have reasonably long history with RA.

They may have been the great dissenters of the organization or they may have been enthusiastic supporters of every daft decision.

I doubt that there many of us commentation here that would really know.

The Wrap: Rebels’ emotions mask 'anger and frustration' as Brumbies cop a six-day semifinal turnaround

Lost to high performance rugby, I dunno who knows how many Mack Hansen’s there are in Victorian rugby.

If their proposal was realistic and viable I find it difficult to believe RA would have rejected it out of hand.

Yeah a poor business decision would be so completely out of character for RA.

Yeah but will the grass roots in Victoria now do anything other than wither and die?

Tis the inverse. It’s the massive pride and identity in our state that makes origin wins even more special.

Hey Tony,

How’d you miss 7.3.3 and 7.3.4 ?

'Simply unacceptable': RA chief fires back after consortium's leaked claim of 'abusive' behavior

Hey Tony H,

Dunno what report you’ve read but the one I’m having a look at contains:

My preliminary view is that the Company may have traded whilst insolvent from 31 December 2018, and that it is likely that all debts that remain unpaid were incurred which could result in an insolvent trading claim exceeding $16.8m
(Key comments start of section 8)

You might notice that lil ol word “may” in there keen eyed fella that you are.

The report also has a section titled: 8.2.1. Director defences

That section lists some of the grievances the directs may have against RA and concludes:
Given the complex nature of the issues that have been raised, I do not have sufficient funding to adequately assess the merits of these claims and the potential impact on any recoveries from the Directors and/or RA for the benefit of creditors.

So may have traded while insolvent with claim made by the directors not assed. Could not find any reference to a cashflow or balance sheet test though.

This is in the:

As I understand it some creditors are also directors of the Rebel board – they might see it differently.

Hey Tony H,

Well I’ve read a dictionary definition of the word “may” – how about you ? 😁

'Simply unacceptable': RA chief fires back after consortium's leaked claim of 'abusive' behavior

The only thing I’ve seen reported is that according to the PWC report “Administrators for the Melbourne Rebels say the rugby union club may have operated insolvent for more than five years”

As per the AFR

Y’all know what the word may means don’t you?
