Interestingly there is no clear Number 1 Pick emerging yet (eg: JHF, JUH, Rowell …).

Has worked really well for the past few years in the SANFL. Last touch doesn’t apply if the ball is in dispute! Has been remarkably uncontroversial as well!

I would add the ruck nomination rule (just penalise 3rd man up) and I would also remove the microphone from the umpire (that may stop them from coaching players and generally wanting their 15 minutes of fame).

I hope whomever is appointed to the job of coach has a strong back (kevlar is best to deflect sharp objects), large supply of hemorrhoid cream (whatever that is 😊 – to soothe the pain of being … by the senior players), and a solid couch (because they will spend a lot of time sitting around, doing nothing and not being critical of players)! The last bit about not being critical of players rules most of us out, but many of us have the earlier listed qualities.

There is a big difference between swearing (which Kohli obviously did) and calling the integrity of the host broadcaster (which pays big $ for telecast rights) into question!

You either love cricket or you don’t! If spectators only attend matches involving some sides then it is in trouble when every country has to play the other in a H&A series!

Even worse is when they use Homesickness as an excuse to get somewhere that isn’t home (eg: Tippet to Sydney – no, we haven’t forgotten that one).

Nas is a NO for mine. Adelaide already has a project player (Newchurch) and Nas doesn’t seem to be ready yet (dropped back to the 2’s at Glenelg as players return for the finals). Arlo is possible if Adelaide sells Pick 4 for 2 first rounders – uses 1 for Dawson and 1 for Arlo. Port will be left in the cold again.

… and you could expect to be paid in full and on time. Port has had its chances and choked on the finals stage. Adelaide are rebuilding and are the big club in town. Seems an obvious and easy choice to me.

Eddie Betts left Adelaide because he wasn’t being offered a contract to continue! 1 year left and he was headed to the 2’s.
