I know it’s a novelty to our selectors, but not every keeper has to be Adam Gilchrist. I’m happy if we just find a keeper who can keep, and any runs he scores is a bonus. This Carey kid sounds good.
Wade's Ashes spot almost gone
Yes i will admit he made a fine hundred, but since then he’s scored 92 runs at an average of 18. That’s not good enough for a guy on the outskirts. Handscomb cemented his place in the side with runs in AUS last season. I do agree on Khawaja but, it’s like he has this mental block in Asia, just cannot play spin.
Australia should play three spinners in Bangladesh
Is anyone else as disappointed as I am about Maxwell’s lack of bowling. He is no where near good enough in the batting department to justify his spot with the willow alone. Plus he took a key wicket in the 1st innings. For him to be in this side long term, he needs to be bowling 10-15 overs an innings.
Australia should play three spinners in Bangladesh
So essentially, just a little bit of nothing 😉
Australia vs Bangladesh 1st Test: Five talking points from Australia's loss
I certainly advocated for Swepson to be in over Agar to begin with but he performed admirably and definitely was not the issue in this game.
Australia vs Bangladesh 1st Test: Five talking points from Australia's loss
How garb is Wade!! I’m still at a loss as to why Nevill was dropped to begin with. Wade is simply not a good keeper and for a guy picked to be good bat at number 7, he’s shown me nothing to suggest he can wield the willow competently in the last year in the red ball game.

and nevill…. who i still can’t understand why he’s not in this side

I hope Wade enjoys his Shield season this year, he is useless in the baggy green.

There’s just no way Danny Ainge adds any more to this deal. They’re already losing their 2nd All – NBA point guard, plus the nets pick plus a potential 6th man of the yr in Crowder.
It’s a great deal, even if IT misses half the year and it’s laughable that Cleveland think Boston will add anything more.
Hold the phone: Thomas not a Cavalier yet
I don’t think that’s entirely true. I’ve read he turned it down, in an effort to rehab his shoulder so he be ready for the BBL.
2017-18 Sheffield Shield preview and predictions
A great read and summary of the Lions mate, well done. Being a Lions supporter, the past decade has been tough but you can certainly see the culture changing in this club for the better. Here’s hoping a top 8 finish will be around the corner in the coming 5 years, my lord our fans deserve it!!!
The Lions are on the long road back to roaring again
Tbh I wouldn’t have either, get swepson in there!
Bangladesh vs Australia: First Test preview and prediction
Wade would want to impress this test series or he SHOULD be on thin ice for the ashes.
As far as Agar is concerned, I hope he proves me wrong, but I just can’t see him being a long term spin option and as such, why pick him?
Bangladesh vs Australia: First Test preview and prediction
If we play to our strengths and respect their top order/spinners, we should win 2-0. Would not surprise me at all however if we rock up expecting to win and get pumped in the first test.
Resurgent Bangladesh still underdogs against Aussies
Nice article mate, cheers for the plug 😉
The Irving-Thomas trade can go a thousand different directions
Kyrie will be a gun in Boston I have no doubt. But they’ve bought high on a guy who hasn’t proven he can lead an attack. IT and Crowder should have been enough, throwing in that Nets pick for a guy who wanted out is just too much to pay for Irving.
Boston Celtics make the worst trade of the summer
They sold so low on the Nets pick. IT and Crowder should have been enough.
Kyrie Irving, Isaiah Thomas in blockbuster trade
Perfectly matched because neither of them play defence?
Also you’ve lost me on Crowder being “another old player”. The guys 27…..
Boston Celtics make the worst trade of the summer
Don’t really know what you’re basing the “Nets are better than last year” on. Yes they got Russell and Crabbe but they lost their best player in Brook Lopez. I reckon they will be in the bottom 5 again next year, meaning the pick will be top 5.
Boston Celtics make the worst trade of the summer
Worst trade this Summer, bar none. Danny Ainge what have you done.
Kyrie Irving, Isaiah Thomas in blockbuster trade
Jesus give the man some time. Bundesliga 2. is a solid 3 games into the season..
A 2017-18 tarot reading for every A-League club - Part 1
So it’s ok for Steph Curry to be paid $200 million but it’s not ok for Lebron to demand top dollar for his services? C’mon mate get real! As you said, he’s likely to finish as the 2nd greatest NBA player of all time. He should be getting paid as such. And as far as him being the “issue”, that’s just rubbish, before he came back to Cleveland, this team was a dumpster fire, even with Kyrie at the helm. Lebron is the only reason this team is relevant and the fact they beat GSW in 2016 says so much about Lebron. He quite frankly deserves better than how Cleveland are currently treating him and he should leave next season. I for one wouldn’t blame him if he did.
The Cavaliers' problems start with LeBron James
Absolutely would not surprise me if the Roar took home the wooden spoon this season. Jamie Maclaren covered so many holes for us these past 2 seasons. With him gone, I just don’t see where the goals are coming from. On a side note thoroughly looking forward to seeing Daniel De Silva at CCM this season. Expecting a big season from him.

You honestly think this deal gets through without IT? The guy balled out last year, 29 pts, All NBA 2nd team, basically carried Celtics to Eastern Conference Finals. IT gives Cavs a chance to win next year when he’s fully fit.
Yes the Nets pick is also very valuable but IT gives Lebron what he wants and thats immediate success.
The Cavs future is a lot brighter now
