Umpires just pay what they see. They don’t have the benefit of different tv angles and slow motion replays. Get over it Brayden and Tim.

Six Points: Bevo's Bulldogs reach breaking point, dangerous tackle loophole must be closed, and 2024's worst coach-killer

That’s harsh – but mostly true 😂

Footy Fix: Bad blunders, unsung heroes and THAT Nick Daicos moment - the 232-second story of another Pies-Blues classic

Our inability to win the ball and move it forward really stood out last night. With the players we have in the midfield we should do better. Just don’t seem to know how to win games of footy against the really good teams in these situations. Taking that into account we did well to stay in the game.

That’s Harry for you. Have to take the good with the bad. But he had plenty of mates.

Footy Fix: Bad blunders, unsung heroes and THAT Nick Daicos moment - the 232-second story of another Pies-Blues classic

Admittedly McKays decision and execution in the moment was awful. Opportunity missed and the ball didn’t go forward again.

Pies have the smarts. Cats have the smarts. Blues don’t and that’s the difference.

I like the changes. And sends a message that no loss is acceptable. 4 omissions were a rare thing in the past and even a 2 goal loss to the top team is no longer good enough. Thats where we want to be and those out will have to work harder to get back in.

AFL News: Great's concern with Thomas lifeline, Brayshaw brother slams league over Tribunal 'joke'

Think the last show I saw was when Chris Judd was on and made a comment about training wheels 😂

Would have to question Brad Scott’s fitness to be a coach of afl boys.

You lost me at “watching footy classified” 😁

Geez Brad. What do you have to do to not be considered a good person ? Really you are insulting the good persons that are out there.

I’m not excited all but only because he does not play for Carlton

The key No.1 draft pick stat that proves everyone - especially West Coast - needs to calm down about Harley Reid

The Eagles haven’t had much to be excited about the last few years. So why not get excited about Harley Reid. He’s awesome and could easily become the mark of the turning point of the club.

“I didn’t mean it” doesn’t wash. Of course players don’t intend to give their opponent concussion. But jumping into the air with reckless or careless abandon when it was reasonable to know they would be late to the ball and hit their opponent high should be harshly treated. Same with slinging players to the ground when you can still tackle and restrain a player without doing so. Some contact particularly at ground level when players put their head down will be unavoidable and I can understand why their would still be circumstances where players get off or receive a lesser penalty.

The big mistake the AFL keeps making in its attitude towards high contact

It’s a shame they don’t apply common sense when making up the rules and their interpretations. So many have flaws in not applying common sense that remain unaddressed.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

The AFL just make up random BS every week. There’s nothing consistent or right about what that do and say.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

He would ordinarily be in our best 22 but he does look down on strength and confidence this year. He does look smaller, but perhaps that’s just an illusion when he gets beaten in a contest.

Confused how incidental and low impact can cop a penalty. Would have been happy with a free kick though.

ZWilliams definitely has shrunk in confidence. He even looks smaller this year 😂 . Can’t argue with the calls to drop him.

I get how an umpire might not see a ball brush a players shoulder, but to get confused which player is standing the mark when they’re 15 metres away 😂

Six Points: Channel 7's commentary, the AFL's most underrated coach, and what on earth is wrong with a draw?

Cats led the entire game. Not as close as it appears. The Blues still lack smarts and still playing below potential.

Nothing technically correct about that 50. Just total incompetency from the umpire.

Brad Scott – if he’d been coaching Geelong since 2011 would he have the same number of premierships as his brother or possibly more ?

Channel 7 is the free to air TV equivalent of Murdoch Media – Sky news, Melbourne Herald Sun, et al

Random thought – surely Sam Mitchell won’t win the Roars coach of the year for the third year running.
