IMO some of the elite 7’s will be in the team come womens rwc.

This year being an olympic year that has been their focus.

The Wrap: A slap, three trips and a telling slip of the tongue - plus the case for an eight team finals series

technically ANY team can still make the top 8.

Tahs bottom team could have 2x 5 point wins putting them above drua by 1 point

of course they rely on drua getting no more points, and force not winning anymore and crusaders only getting 4 points in 2 games

very very unlikley of course

chiefs pinned him in trying to milk a penalty and got it.

'Always fighting, always Rebels': Chiefs hold on after late penalty in emotion-filled Melbourne send-off

Not pay above super rugby money for nrl players.

Reinstate the national coaching setup that Marks had in for 20+ years and JoN dismantled.

Not have 3rd parties money be counted in salary caps.

Have no restrictions on selection from o/s

Have genuine marketing.

Have a domestic super rugby inviting 1 PI team to have 6 teams initially. Played either before or after super rugby pacific, preferably after so players who don’t make wallabies get a good number of games under their belts.

sure but he was never the regular kicker and that was a long time ago

Five burning questions: How many Tahs and Force players will end up in gold, and is this farewell Melbourne?

rubbish

That was Burke

Mortlock at o/c also kicked goals.

Some 10’s have played I/C and kicked.

Dan just isn’t that good.

He prepared like it was super rugby in terms of length, too hard pre season for such a long season in england, players are now burnt out. He should have taken the seasons length into account and not made such a rookie error.

Notable that Brumbies improved when Larkham took over, the brumbies dropped now when they lost Laurie and have 1st time coach Mowen. Defence has been poor.

Dan McKellar's first season in England was a bust. This is what he thinks might have gone wrong

agree, should let everyone go and select the best wherever they are

However RA obviously don’t agree and want to retain players they see in the wallabies hence my comment of why they won’t let him go.

Tahs in turmoil: Hanigan and Harrison jump sinking ship, skipper forced to stay, CEO complains of 'tricky' task

You could argue that , however I am sure the high performance unit and Schmidt were consulted and they obviously think he is in the top 3 scrumhalves / want him in the wallaby squad

Tahs in turmoil: Hanigan and Harrison jump sinking ship, skipper forced to stay, CEO complains of 'tricky' task

point is RA blocked it since he has a top up, and signed with RA

maybe in the media there will be a push for undeserving players

IMO Holloway, Hanigan, Swinton and Foketi should all be in the wallaby squad. Out of those (of course anyone in the squad could make it depending on how they perform in training) I would think Holloway and Foketi are a good chance to make the 23. Paisami should be favoured ahead of Foketi though. Holloway is a good option for the bench being a lock/backrow utility player.

Five things: Where DC got it wrong with Tahs, perception and reality for Wallabies hopeful as Test bolter shines

First of all I like new solutions offered. I would be happy for RA / Super teams to do this.

However the number that would take it up would be small.

1) Players with families , do they want to be away from them for 4 months? Or do they uproot the family, schools etc for 4 months. What if the wife has a good job in australia?
2) How many spots would be available in europe / japan / USA for a partial season? Injury ravaged clubs maybe. If any of these periods of availability was during their finals then more chance, but I don’t think any of places have their finals at the right time
3) All the players would have to be available for all wallaby tests, you never know how many injuries to a position can occur.

Another way to fix Australian rugby: Why not just let our players go to Europe part-time?

not having any reds is one thing but having 4 rebels the team they beat is another

Valetini deserves to retain it anyway.

Wilson will be fit june 29 if it is 8 weeks,

So no reason if schmidt wants him for wilson to make the 2nd test at least.

Reds' title hopes cop huge blow as Wallaby hopeful ruled out for the rest of Super season

if the injury is 8 weeks then Wilson will be back 29/June.

So back just before the first test.

IMO no reason he couldn’t be in the wallaby squad, he misses contact training but stays fit, and understands / learns what schmidt wants. He could easily be included for the 2nd test.

if he is over goal line it is not a ruck there, ruck ends on the goal line, so he can lay there, if he is not obstructing a defender , same with being upright he can’t be in the way of a defender IF they try and make a tackle.

If the defender doesn’t react then hard to call it obstruction

On diving over the ruck as long as he comes from an onside position.

'Triple threat' Donaldson leads Force to massive win over Drua to keep Super Rugby finals hopes alive

Cale did take out O’Reilly , pretty clear, maybe just maybe Holloway nudged him into him. It certainly deserved a review and could have been a yc, he did land on his back.

The other one RV did take up space but at live speed did not seem to be that bad, however it too could have been reviewed, but probably would have been awarded anyway.

Kellaway is already signed as well.

With rebels folding it depends who tahs can get from their team.

A lot of players would be good targets to help the tahs, only so many can go o/s and other super teams don’t have many vacancies.

Brumbies beat Waratahs in monsoonal conditions as injury toll goes from bad to worse

You need a f/b to do more than 14 good passes to be considered for the wallabies.

His game management was almost non existent, his running attack was not threatening, defence poor. His kicking, what little he did of it, was fair.

next year the tahs are in a lot strife
They have lost Gordon, Harrison, Perese, Mark N, Swinton, Hanigan

agree, Beale is one of the better players at the force and getting him was a good decision.

to put it into perspective

T Wright does a LOT more at 15.
Better defender. Better under the highball. Better long distance kicker.
Better runner of the ball.
As good a playmaker. Better pass to his right.
Better game manager.
More consistent, less errors.

Where did I say he didn’t, that sort of play IS what a playmaker does, I noted his impact as a 2nd playmaker.

But that is all he did, AND he didn’t make many plays, he didn’t put players through many gaps.

A couple of them and a couple of nice kicks.

agree, hence his only impact was as a secondary playmaker.

Once again I never said he was poor, he was good, but plenty better than him.
