People just don’t internationally care about Test Cricket anymore.
You’ll find in the next T20 World Cup that the other nations will be more competitive

Gap's never been wider between cricket’s Big Three haves and the have-nots ... and it’s only getting worse

Hi Little Billy…do you mean the boys club that currently hold all the titles?
The egg on face club sure do lack awareness

‘No better way to silence them’: Warner fires back at critics with blistering ton as Aussies pile on misery to Pakistan

Thrilling draws are actually a good element of Test Cricket.
I think it’s time to go with 4 day Tests.

Four-day Tests? Traditionalists say no but red-ball format needs to move with the times to stay relevant

Would be great if we could hear some positive stuff about cricket, the game really is on the decline when drama overrides all else.
Sad times for the true fans of the game.

‘A walking wicket for two years’: Another old Warner teammate questions whether opener should get Test farewell

Lol, old man yelling at clouds.

'It's bouncing ridiculously': BBL clash ends in farce as Geelong pitch deemed unsafe just six overs in

“Serious SS” lol.
So serious that no one actually watches?

Time for Test cricket fans to do the annual ‘give BBL a try’ merry dance - it's not for everyone ... and that's OK

How does it go to long though?
The Shield season goes longer, yet no one attends any games.

Lol “bad habits”
It’s not the olden days, players train for each format.
As for the marketing, people attend the BBL, no one attends Shield Cricket. It’s not marketing, it’s what people actually want to watch, vs old people saying stuff.

I’m really looking forward to seeing my beloved Scorhers again.
I do laugh at the people who bag the BBL, saying they love Red Ball Domestic Cricket. Figures and crowds show these people are the fakest sports fans on the planet.

The issue is no one attends, these guys you mention need to make a living.

Just the big games.
Australians seem to complain about everything rather than enjoying what’s going on in the game.
The opposition, the pitch, the players, the selectors, the players families, the format, the umpires, DRS, etc etc etc.

Do Australians love Test cricket or just watching the baggy green side win at home pretty much all the time?

Lol…now the entire entertainment world is now conspiring agaignst the A League.

Chaos in Campbelltown, lingering lightning, Suncorp's shameful surface

Football is popular in Australia, it’s just the A League that isn’t because it’s followed by nut jobs .

Football will never get anywhere in Australia until it presents a united front

So much cricket to talk about, but Social Media always focus’s on the negative side,
How about just promoting the positive side of incumbents?
I think Ashton Turners last six months or so have been pretty good.

Smith scrambling to make T20 World Cup squad as diminishing white-ball returns put spot in jeopardy

Hi jammel…Green has already been dropped, Marsh in now playing in his spot.
Can’t see them gifting Green his spot back.

The best thing the selectors can do for Cameron Green is to drop him from Test team … for now

Hi Opeo…yeah I’m happy to go with 2 years.
My comment was more about people using career stats, which includes innings from 10 years ago.

Harris, Renshaw or Bancroft? Choosing Warner’s Test replacement should be opener and shut case for selectors

You shouldn’t use career stats for current selection, you need to go on current form, ie last 5 or 10 or whatever last innings,
Stats are better used to summise a player’s career when it’s ended.

Roccicchioli certainly seems a promising option.

Australia’s 2027 World Cup mission starts now: The players title defence can be built around - only three incumbents to survive

Safest sport on the planet.
Perfect sport to take the family to.
It’s all the medias fault these things always occur.

Was a good fight, but The Butcher could do well to pull his head in. Gives off some really weird vibes.

Tszyu ripper! Nikita storms back from first-round scare to claim Australian super-welterweight title

Hi BigGorden..great commentary.
I to am looking forward to the series, and even more so after reading your post.

I find it interesting that the older generation are quick to rubbish the other formats, and to sprout on about how superior Test cricket is, yet when the Tests roll around, the general commentary seems to be just general complaining.
The quality of the sides, the pitches, the weather etc etc. I really wish people would enjoy the actual cricket a bit closer to the way they say they love Test Cicket.

Captain's resigned, four frontline quicks ruled out - who's excited for Pakistan's Test tour of Australia?

BMR…you make an important point mentioning the CBD. Even travelling to games is unsafe.
Heaven knows how the A League thinks it’s going to attract people to go to the games, when even the atmosphere in the city, or simply walking along the Yarra, is all about macho intimidation.

Save the club chants for A-League games if you're supporting the Socceroos

Yawn.

ICC announces World Cup final to be 'best of three' following India's loss, BCCI complaint

Don…there’s people who would agree with you, but sadly many, many more that don’t.
CA have to cater for what people want to watch, not what older folk want to reflect on as the good old days.

Absent Sheffield Shield Crowds: Quality players, quality cricket, potential future stars of the game...but where is everyone?
